I combined my love of woodworking and making pizza to make a clock for the garage. (The wood is that Canadian Red Cherry that I acquired last summer.)
Just out of the workshop. I like the Southwestern look these have. There are nine different species of wood used in this piece, and like always, no stain used. These are all natural colors.
Something a little different to share today. This table trivet, or cutting board, is roughly one sq foot and 1.25” thick, on feet. Too many different species of wood to list them all.
I’m anxious to share this piece. The colors are so stunning. A serving tray made from box elder, black resin, blue resin, and clear resin. Instead of the usual deep pour resin, I used art resin, which sets up much faster. That allowed my to lace the metallic blue into the black without the blue just fading away into the black. I’ll have this one for sale at my next show in Burnsville.

It this some gorgeous wood, or WHAT? A year ago, it was in the back of my pickup. Just finished this piece today with some of that wood: Canadian Red Cherry.
All set up and ready to go at the Eagles Club in Valley City.

A couple of items to share today. The cutting board is made of spalted hackberry, crab apple, walnut, and plum. Nice color combination. The cheese cutter is made from a piece of Red Canadian Cherry that I got last summer. Beautiful wood, and quite hard.

My daughter made this little flyer for me. She thinks it’s a little classier than my list.
Made a couple of chess boards this week. The one on the left is made from Sepele and Black Limba for the spaces. The thin inlay is Padauk, and the outer border is West Indie Cedar. The one on the right, the squares are made of Sea Grape and Plum wood. The thin white inlay is birch, and the border is black walnut.
