What’s the best way to cut PVC pipe?
Answer - Chopsaw with an abrasive wheel!
Delivers perfectly flush cuts and even lets you bevel the pipe end on the side of the wheel, exactly as the plumbing gods intended.
While it may not be the fastest method, it is the correct method and we will die on that hill.

At Comfortably Plumb, we take vertical piping VERY seriously. If a pipe in your home is even thinking about leaning, we’re already on our way with a plumb bob in one hand and questionable decision‑making in the other.
We’re so committed to keeping things perfectly plumb that if a pipe decides to wander, we’ll dig halfway to China to track down the root of the problem—literally.
So if you ever wonder why your plumber is 12 feet underground wrestling with a pipe like it owes him money… just know: it’s all part of the Comfortably Plumb promise to keep your home’s plumbing straight, true, and plumb.

When we found out about this little Pipe Vise that mounts anywhere, we obviously had to have it.
Stay tuned for progressively unnecessary elaborate mounting systems as the year treks on.

It’s groundwork season! 💪
One of the most rewarding aspects of plumbing is plan ex*****on and seeing the system come to life.
Here, we knocked out some drain lines for a basement bathroom and mech room, ensured proper locations for future tie ons, and installed a sump pit.
At the end of the day our work typically gets covered, but we take great pride in workmanship and plumbing in accordance with local codes. The size of the project matters not - if we are fortunate enough to plumb for you, we will always provide the best work we possibly can.
Also - may this picture serve as a reminder that what you put down the drain doesn’t actually vanish into a black hole 😉

Last week we spent some time doing sump pump training.
We went through multiple pump setups, combination pumps, backup systems, and WiFi monitoring options. It’s always good to stay sharp on how these systems work, how to troubleshoot them, and best practices before the real spring thaw starts.
If you ever have questions about your sump pump or backup systems, we’re always happy to help.

Installed a new dual pump sump system with battery backup and WiFi monitoring for this homeowner. This setup keeps working during power outages and sends alerts if anything needs attention.
Safe to say this one is the crème de la crème of sump pump setups: maintenance free battery, pressure fittings, built-in check valves, all the good stuff to help keep your basement worry-free.

Whole-house filter → water softener → water heater
This system treats the home’s incoming water before it reaches the water heater, fixtures, and appliances.
The result is improved water quality throughout the house and reduced mineral buildup inside the plumbing system.
Every home’s water is different. Each system is designed around the home’s water source, test results, and your goals.

Well the big announcement is finally out! Words cannot express how excited I am that Kurt has joined Comfortably Plumb as a partner and owner.
With the addition of Kurt, we will be able to better fulfill the needs and wants of our customers and provide the full circle support they deserve when they reach out via text, call, email, or through our website.
Trying to do everything in the business without inside support not only took my focus away from being the best plumber I can be, it also stripped Comfortably Plumb’s customers of the quality customer support they deserve throughout all phases of the job and after.
When I founded Comfortably Plumb, I didn’t ever think a partner would be a necessity. I can do everything and it will be awesome! I will maintain the almighty and powerful control! I will never sell out and lose any part of the company!
Well, turns out I can’t do everything and it wasn’t entirely awesome. Plus, I was absolutely looking at it all wrong.
When you team up with a trustworthy and hardworking guy like Kurt, there is no loss. There is no “selling out” (I am pretty sure Kurt isn’t actually a sneaky PE firm but I could be wrong). What we do have is everything to gain for our families, community, and YOU.
We are excited to lead the charge in water quality awareness in the plumbing and water treatment sectors through education and team building for our customers.
I’d have to say I am most excited for the inevitable R&D laboratory, but unfortunately that is likely another 5 years out. In the meantime, I will do my best to not blow up my garage with experiments and enjoy every step of the journey.
Thank you for the opportunity to allow us to serve you!
