Hello, you Harvest Fresh Turkey lovers! If you ordered last year you 100% have your turkey on order. I made sure I ordered turkeys 2 weeks ago! I believe we had 10 left over from last year. We will be going through last year's turkey book. Please message us your size. We will not be taking many new orders as we are guessing. Its really hard when you don't have the numbers yet. Please message the page directly.... My arms and legs are being pulled by horses 4 ways. Leave your turkey size. And your number. PS. I only have access to your information. And weather or not you ordered last year please try to place. 10-12 12-14 14-16 20-21..... the biggest size is 22 or so. These are fresh only flashed for travel. Once I have the cost I will be posting mid next week.
But, let's not get disappointed we have it handled.

Hi, I'm Shelbe.... and I am excited about serving this community at our long-standing local butcher shop.

Just a little about me: I have 2 beautiful kids that were both napping in infant seats at Heck’s while I cut meat. I had to leave for a few years to support my family during loss, my husband's business and raise my young kids. I worked at Heck’s for Richard Duffney from 2010-2011. And for the current owner, Danni, from 2011-2016. During that time, I fell in love with the business. I am looking forward to coming back better than ever. Many of the amazing burger and sausage blends you have grown to love are my creations. Some of my best creations left with me and will come back with me.

Rest assured, we will not be changing anything within the shop: fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving, garlic-loved prime ribs for Christmas, hams for Easter and freshly brined corned beef for St. Patrick's Day. We will continue to offer custom processing both domestic and wild game.

One of the new things we will be installing is a SMOKER! No more reliance on someone else to give you the best product you deserve! That also leads to so many more possibilities for us: Jerky, smoked sausage...don't forget all new bacon flavors!

You can also look forward to Door Dash and fresh seafood.

Change is never easy. The only promise I can give is this: It's only going to get better!

Hello, Heck's faithful. We are entering the last week of our amazing run serving you and our beloved small town and would like to thank you for your amazing support over the years. While we are saddly closing a chapter in our lives we are all excited for the new opportunities that this community has already offered us and of course all the love we have felt most recently. We hope to see you this week, so we can say goodbye. Due to the transition period upcoming we will be running fairly lean this week so make sure to drop in early.

That being said the new owner has some exciting news coming shortly to explain the new vision and direction your small town butcher shop will be taking. We anticipate the post to come tomorrow, Oct. 25th.

And finally, yes the new owner will be taking orders for the same fresh Thanksgiving turkeys we all love. More info on when the order list will be available with their post.

ATTENTION FABULOUS CUSTOMERS!
Let's quinch the rumor mill! Heck’s Meat is undergoing an ownership change. We wanted to announce when we have a definite date but seems like we can't keep the good news bottled up anymore.

What will NOT change is the excellent products and services you have always enjoyed. Also NOT charging is that it will still be LOCALLY OWNED and OPERATED.

Currently, ownership change is projected for the last week in October. AGAIN, this is not exact. We will keep you posted.

The new owners do intend to close for FIVE DAYS ONLY in order to put some exciting renovations in place.

Stay tuned! You are going to love it!

It's that time again! Let me know if you fill your tag and I'll put it in your freezer. First come, first serve. Animal must be down to get a spot. No head, no hide, no hair, no hoof, and a clean carcass please. Tag with ID must be present at drop off, game tag will remain with the animal, taxidermy tag stays with head and hide. We are at $1.74 # hanging weight, 100 # minimum. Fats, seasonings, and Casings extra. Smoked jerky, pepperoni stix, and summer salami are also available at an additional charge and wait time. As always I look forward to processing your animals with respect and consideration for your hard work and dedication. Call us as soon as you bag your target during normal shop hours at 423-2241 or if you need to get your animal in the cooler after hours call me anytime at (775) 273-8885, $25 charge on your bill or $20 cash at drop off.

Happy early 4th of July everyone! We have gone all out to make your long weekend full of yummy eats. We have:

-Mango Habanero brats

-Hawaiian Paradise brats

-Stuffed tri tips

& Tomahawks

All are limited so get it before it's gone!

And of course we have tons of steaks, tri tips, a few briskets, ribs, pork butt, and grind, all the usual fair.

We will be out of the shop Saturday at 4:30 (unless you guys buy it all first 🤣) and will be closed thru July 4th. Back to normal on July 5th.

Anyone looking for some part time or full time work? Tuesday thru Saturdays, 4-6 hour, 3-4 days a week, shifts to start. We are looking for a customer service forward individual or individuals that want to be part of an amazing and rare small butcher shop experience. Your primary responsibilities will be customer service, filling orders, keeping the cases full, helping clean up, rolling and wrapping meat product, inventory, and helping with creating a team first and positive atmosphere. Must be available Tues-Sat during business hours, (9am-5:30pm) schedules will be set two weeks out but may need to be flexible.

Butchery, game processing, kitchen and restaurant, retail, and/or food handling experience is a positive but not necessary.

If butchery is a line of work you are passionate and or intrigued about first hand training will be available to further your skill set.

If you are a well motivated team player and would like to work for an amazing and somewhat historic small town butcher shop please print and fill out a generic application (resume helps too) and drop it off with us here at the shop. Must be 18 due to knives, saws, etc. Pay will be discussed during interviews and will be determined by experience, job duties, and availability. (not Tesla wages but not minimum wage either)

On a personal note I want to take a moment to share my appreciation for Fallon and the support you continue to show for our humble little shop. Over the past 4 years I've rode one heck of a rollercoaster and am proud of what we've been able to accomplish and to have been able to weather the storms we have been sent.

I am absolutely thrilled to have a full crew of amazing people that love their job and understand that Fallon is just too small to cut corners and play games with peoples food. We want to stand for the integrity of our product and services, and make our customers our friends.

Thank you Ashley, Odett, Dale, and Nate for your hard work and as well as Mrs. Danni who has allowed me to grow into the butcher role I may not have been qualified for when she hired me.

Holy cow, over a litteral ton of prime rib cut and ready for everyones Christmas dinners! That said, if you're still looking, we have a very limited amount left. Please call or come by asap as it must be picked up today by 5:30.

Sorry guys, it's been a bit since our last post but boy have we been busy!! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that our fresh turkeys didn't disappoint! That said we are into our Christmas Prime Rib preorders and have +600 #'s already on order! If you too would like to join in on the best Prime Rib you can find give us a call at 423-2241 and let us know. We will be taking pre orders thru 12/14 and will have a little extra in case you miss the cut off.

Just so you know all of our Prime Ribs include cutting back the bone, stuffed with garlic, full tie, and our signature Heck's Prime Rib rub, prepped and oven ready with fool proof cooking instructions. We can also let you pick and choose how you want it prepped if you need. We are at $16.89 per lb this year, 3lb minimum, full loins are approx 20-25lbs.

We also have Ham, frozen Turkeys, Ducks, Geese, Rabbit, and lots of other options if you need, just let us know asap!

Last call for fresh, never frozen, turkeys!!! Call us by 4:30 on Saturday to reserve a bird!. Also..... it is here... Our annual Henning's cheese order is in and boy do we got the good stuff!! Lots of flavors, curds, and mozzarella whips straight from Wisconsin!

As a reminder please have all orders in for our normal fare, i.e. grind, steaks, bacon, etc asap! We will run the cases as normal next week but will only be distributing turkeys the week of 11/21-23rd, being closed at noon Wednesday 23rd thru Monday the 28th.

Hello Heck's faithful! It's time again to plan your holiday traditions. We have confirmed we are receiving our fresh, never frozen, turkeys once again this year. Due to avian flu concerns we were worried we wouldn't have our yearly fair for you but luckily we have been able to get a select number of birds confirmed!! Unfortunately like everything these days the prices have gone up but we can promise you the freshest, juiciest, and most easy to cook turkey as we always have. Please call us as soon as possible to get on the list. We are at $3.79 # and can accommodate up to 24 # bird orders, anything bigger is not possible this year due to the late start to the season. Unlike previous years we are somewhat limited on supply so please call us A.S.A.P. to book your bird. We will be taking orders up thru next Saturday 11/12 (unless we sell out) with birds being delivered 11/16 and ready for pickup thru Wednesday the 23rd at noon (except Sunday 11/20 we will be closed).
