I actually bought some new beads today. I keep waiting for my spark to ignite my creative fire. So far ... nada. Life has spun me a bit.

At least when I'm ready to be a maker, I have SO MANY beautiful beads and components to choose.

Am I perfect? No.

But do I try my best to use up my bead supplies before buying more?

Also, no.

When I find myself in troubled waters ... I'll grab a humor life preserver every time. Laughter is good medicine that can't be made unaffordable.

Went to my favorite bead shop in Mesa, Arizona that is a hop-skip-and-a-jump from my sister's house. I buy here every time I am in Scottsdale. My practical inner voice told me that this is the last bead buy for 2025

I gathered some beads made of glass, agate, and peridot. Peridot is my August birthstone and I plan to make myself a bracelet to celebrate my 69th year on the 28th. I chose a couple special focal beads for two pair of earrings.

I am always on the lookout for interesting metal pieces that can add some drama when paired with beads for earrings. I picked up small metal pyramids that I think will look industrial dangling from the right chandelier bodies. Leaves, ornamental drops, fans, wings, and art deco inspired squares called to me.

I have been gone road trippin' from California to Oregon to Arizona for 27 days now. When I get back to California, I will be ready for a little nesting and jewelry creating. AND, of course, some floating in the water. I am a mermaid after all 🧜‍♀️
