Famous Last Words — Most of us can look back on moments we'd rather forget—times when our confidence was much bigger than our character. We've made bold promises, only to discover that good intentions aren't always enough. We've declared, "You can count on me," only to find ourselves falling short when the pressure mounted.

Peter knew exactly what that felt like.

As Jesus and His disciples left the Passover meal and walked into the darkness toward the Mount of Olives, Jesus made another startling announcement. The eleven disciples who remained would all abandon Him before the night was over. Peter couldn't bear the thought. With his usual confidence, he insisted that the others might run—but he never would.

Those words sounded courageous in the moment. Before sunrise, they would haunt him.

It's easy to shake our heads at Peter's overconfidence. But if we're honest, we'll recognize a little of ourselves in him. Pride has a subtle way of convincing us that we're stronger than we really are and less vulnerable than everyone else. This Sunday at 9:30am we'll discover how Peter's painful failure speaks directly to our own hearts—and how God's grace is greater than our worst moments.

The Last Supper — Imagine the scene. The room is filled with familiar faces. The Passover meal has begun, just as faithful Jewish families had celebrated it for more than a thousand years in remembrance of God's miraculous deliverance from Egypt. The disciples expected an evening of tradition, fellowship, and celebration.

Instead, Jesus stunned them with words they never saw coming:

"One of you will betray Me."

Silence. Confusion. Heart-searching questions. One by one they asked, "Surely not I, Lord?"

This Sunday we'll step into that unforgettable evening and explore the drama, the emotion, and the eternal significance of the Last Supper. We'll also discover eight compelling reasons why participating in the Lord's Table remains an essential part of every believer's walk with Christ.

In several weeks from now, we'll turn our attention to one of Jesus' greatest promises—the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Many sincere Christians have questions about the Holy Spirit. Who is He? What does He do? How does He work in the life of a believer? These are some of the most important—and often misunderstood—subjects in the Christian life.

In a special mini-series, we'll open God's Word together and seek clear, biblical answers to these and other important questions. Our prayer is that you'll come away with a deeper understanding of God's greatest gift to every believer and a renewed appreciation for His presence, power, and ministry in your daily life.

Washing Dirty Feet — The disciples gathered in the Upper Room expecting a familiar Passover celebration. It was a meal they had observed since childhood, rich with memories of God's deliverance of Israel. But before the evening was over, everything they thought they understood about greatness, leadership, and love would be forever changed.

They entered the room with feet coated in the dust of Jerusalem's streets, the inevitable result of walking in open sandals. In that culture, it was customary for the lowest household servant to greet arriving guests by washing their feet. Yet on this evening, no servant appeared. The basin remained untouched, and each disciple quietly assumed the task belonged to someone else.

Then the unimaginable happened.

Jesus—their Master, their Rabbi, the promised Messiah—rose from the table, wrapped a towel around His waist, knelt before His followers, and began washing their feet. One by one, the King of kings performed the work of the lowliest servant.

Why would the Creator of the universe stoop so low? What lesson was He teaching His disciples—and what does it mean for us today? This Sunday at 9:30am, we'll uncover the profound truth behind one of the most moving scenes in all of Scripture and discover why Christ's example of humble service remains the unmistakable mark of every genuine follower of Jesus.

Why Does God Harden Hearts? The cheers of the Triumphal Entry had barely faded when Jesus walked into the temple courts and drove out the money changers, cleansing His Father's house. While the other Gospels focus on that dramatic confrontation, John's Gospel takes us somewhere else. It invites us to listen in as Jesus gathers His disciples and speaks about matters far more profound than overturned tables and scattered coins.

There, in the closing days before the cross, Jesus addressed one of the most sobering realities found in all of Scripture—the mystery of the human heart. Why do some people hear the gospel and gladly receive it, while others repeatedly resist until their hearts become increasingly hardened? And what does the Bible mean when it says that God hardens a person's heart? Is there a point when persistent rejection leaves someone beyond the desire to believe?

As Jesus answered those questions, an extraordinary event interrupted the conversation. For the third and final time recorded in the New Testament, the voice of God the Father thundered from heaven. What did He say? Why did He speak at that particular moment? And what did His words reveal about God's glory, Christ's mission, and the urgency of responding while there is still time?

250 Years of Religious Freedom — This Sunday, July 5 at 9:30 am. The day after our nation celebrates its 250th birthday, we'll gather to give thanks for one of America's greatest blessings—the freedom to worship God according to the convictions of our own hearts.

Throughout history, millions have lived under governments that restricted, controlled, or even prohibited religious expression. For two and a half centuries, Americans have enjoyed a liberty that much of the world still longs to experience. On July 5, we'll reflect on that remarkable heritage and offer thanks to God for His hand of blessing upon our nation.

We'll also enjoy singing some of the great patriotic hymns and songs that have inspired generations of Americans. Several of our retired military members have indicated they will be wearing their uniforms that morning, and anyone who wishes to join them is warmly invited to do so.

We promise it will be a meaningful and memorable day. We hope you'll be there.
