Lisa Laughbaum teaches voice, keyboards, drums and ukulele while Bryan Helfrich imparts his knowledge of guitar, bass, ukulele and drums. They both love teaching music to students of all ages and aptitudes and their love of music education shines through in every lesson.

Lisa and Bryan are consummate working musicians who understand what it takes to perform in live venues for extended periods. Bryan has played in several national tours opening for world famous bands (ask him about it) while Lisa has stuck closer to home enjoying a 22 year stint as the lead singer on the Bahia Belle here in Mission Bay, Ca. They know what it takes to play out and enjoy helping their students explore stage presence in addition to sharing their extensive knowledge of music.

Located on the second floor of Fallbrook’s historic El Real Hotel, Luminary Arts has built a beautiful inviting music creating space complete with several pianos/keyboards, a Bose PA with microphones and vocal effects, Kala ukuleles, and a Gretch Catalina Club drum set.

In addition to children and teens, we also provide lessons to adults, seniors, and neurodivergent friends: the youngest and oldest music enthusiasts are always welcomed!

🎵 Luminary Arts is wrapping up the winter/spring season bringing ELO music programs to Fallbrook STEM Academy, Live Oak, Maie Ellis, and La Paloma Elementary. Come May 1st, Bryan and Lisa are ready to bring that same energy to your kids one-on-one (adults and seniors welcomed too)!

Bryan and Lisa will have those prime after-school time slots between 3 and 5 available for private music lessons right here in downtown Fallbrook at 125 S. Main Avenue. You can find our cool music teaching studio upstairs in the historic El Real Hotel above Harry's Sports Bar & Grill!
