We want to proudly recognize one of our own for his exemplary display of service and duty! Congratulations to Captain/Paramedic John Choi in receiving the Medal of Valor. Well deserved! 🔥

Info: On the evening of April 26th North County Fire’s own Captain John Choi heroically acted when he came upon a structure fire in Oceanside while off duty. Thanks to Captain Choi’s efforts 5 adults and 2 pets were rescued. He not only ensured the residents were safely evacuated, he ensured to close all interior doors to help contain the fire before responding agencies arrived.

From plastic helmets and ride-alongs to the real thing. 🚒🔥

Some of us knew the assignment early….others were still figuring it out.

We want to take a moment and recognize what would be the lateRob Hager’s 43rd Birthday today. We lost Rob last september but not a day goes by that our union and community don’t think about Rob’s joyous attitude and impact on our community. We love you Rob and your legacy carries on.

Join us in congratulating Rob “Bob” “bobby” “Bobbo” gutierrez in his accomplishment of passing probation. Bob has had an impressive road to get here, working as an Explorer and EMT at neighboring departments before coming here and excelling as a Paramedic and Firefighter Paramedic. Nobody works harder, congrats Rob!

Paco Willard passed probation this past week. We have had him for the past several years since he started here as a single role Paramedic. We are excited to see what the next 29 years bring. Congrats Paco!

Local 1622 would like to congratulate Connor Mcreynolds Jr. on his successful completion of probation last week. Connor began his time here as an Explorer and Courier in 2016 and has worked his way through every rank to now being an off probation Firefighter Paramedic. Connor has earned every step and we look forward to having him for the next 29 years

Congrats are in order for our latest 4 firefighters to finish probation this week starting with Mitch Vincent. Mitch has been with us since 2020 working his way from explorer all the way to off probation Firefighter Paramedic, excelling every step of the way. We can’t wait till to see what the next 29 bring. Congratulations John Mitchell Vincent!

Today we had the opportunity to assist in the delivery of gifts to some of our local senior citizens here in fallbrook. It’s our honor and pleasure to help out with this awesome program every year

It has been three months since the we lost the late, great Robby Hager. The fallbrook firefighters want to take a moment to thank everyone for the outpouring of support. We couldn’t have done this without all of neighboring departments and unions who have supported us and the Hager family these past three months. A special thank you to the for the 3 great events they put on to support the Hager and fallbrook fire families. On behalf of 1622, thank you to all!
