The Fallbrook Firefighters’ Association is proud to endorse Christine Ibbotson for the North County Fire Protection District board seat in District 3 serving the communities of Fallbrook and Rainbow. Over the past several weeks, members of your Firefighters’ Association sat down with every candidate for all districts up for election and interviewed them on their backgrounds, priorities and strengths that they would bring to North County Fire’s governing board. We were more than impressed with Christine and the qualities she possesses, whether it be strong communication skills and bringing people back to the table or her commitment to community first which we saw when she turned down political endorsements from both sides. Christine is running because she cares and the Fallbrook Firefighters couldn’t ask for a better candidate to look after the communities we serve.

Last week, your Fallbrook Firefighters had the privilege of participating in the landscaping day for Army SPC Seth Wakeling, the latest recipient of Homes For Our Troops. This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and donating specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.

As firefighters, we’re fortunate to serve our community every day, but opportunities like this remind us that service extends far beyond the fire station. It was an honor for the members of the Fallbrook Fire Association  to give a little back to someone who gave so much for our country.

Today marks one year since the passing of the late, great Rob Hager. The fallbrook firefighters and North County Fire wish that today everyone reminisces on Rob and the profound impact he has had on us all. We are eternally grateful for the support we have received from the community and neighboring agencies. Today is a day to remember and celebrate Rob and share your favorite stories. Today we had the honor of working in partnership with the Fallbrook Land Conservancy in hosting a 9/11 Memorial Hike of Monserate Mountain.

In remembrance of the:
2,977 lives lost that day
441 First Responders
343 Firefighters

A quarter century after the attacks of September 11, 2001, more than 100 million Americans are now too young to remember the day that changed our nation forever.

But never forget was never meant to be just a phrase. It is a promise.

A promise that we will continue to tell the stories. That those born after 9/11 will understand what happened, the lives that were lost, and the profound impact it had on our country and the world.

They will learn about the unimaginable loss—but also about the courage, compassion, unity, and selflessness that emerged in the face of tragedy.

They will learn about the firefighters, police officers, EMS providers, military members, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger when others were running away.

And they will learn that the legacy of September 11 is not defined only by the tragedy of that day, but also by the bravery and humanity that followed.

HONOR. REMEMBER. SERVE.

Join the Fallbrook Land Conservancy for their inaugural 9/11 Memorial Hike on Saturday, September 12, at Monserate Mountain Preserve.

As we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, this special event provides an opportunity for our community to come together to remember the 2,977 lives lost.

Participants will hike Monserate Mountain as a tribute to those who never came home and to the spirit of service that continues to unite our nation. The Monserate Mountain was chosen because it has the similar elevation gain as the World Trade Towers.

🚒 North County Fire Protection District is proud to support this event by providing water stations for participants.

This last month Daniel “the maniel” Rixon passed probation. Dan came to us a few years back as a single role Paramedic after working with a couple other agencies in the county as a Firefighter Paramedic. Dan rocked probation and passed all his tests with flying colors. Join us in congratulating dan on a successful year 1. We look forward to the next 29!

1622 wants to congratulate Firefighter Mikhail “Misha” “Mike” Johnson on completing his probation. Mike first came here as a Paramedic Intern in 2022 and then worked his way into a Paramedic job and Probationary Firefighter job. The fallbrook firefighters are stoked to have him and can’t wait for the next 29 years. Congrats big Mica
