Fallbrook Winery specializes in high quality red and white varietals that grow well in the local climate. The original Fallbrook Winery opened in 1981 and was used primarily for champagne production through the late 1980s. In the mid 1990s, the winery property was purchased by the current owners and replanting of the vineyards began. The first plantings were Bordeaux varietal clones and included C

If you visit the winery over the next few days, you’ll notice our vineyard crews hard at work putting nets up on the vines a little earlier than usual this season. 🍇
Every year we get asked: why do we net the vines? As our grapes begin to ripen, they become incredibly tempting to local birds and wildlife. Netting helps protect the fruit and ensures the grapes stay healthy and intact for harvest, which helps us create the best wines possible for everyone to enjoy.
This year’s warmer winter and earlier growing season pushed the vines ahead of schedule, meaning the fruit is developing sooner than expected. Because of that, we’re getting a head start on netting to stay ahead of nature and protect this year’s vintage.
It’s one of the many behind-the-scenes parts of vineyard life, and a sure sign that harvest season is slowly making its way closer. Cheers to another beautiful growing season at Fallbrook Winery! 🍷

Now pouring: the 2022 vintage, featuring notes of fig, plum fruit leather, toasted hazelnut, and warm bakery spice. Rich and velvety on the palate, with layered complexity and tannins that promise even more with age.
Whether you’re discovering BDX for the first time or it’s already your favorite bottle, we can’t wait for you to taste this beautiful new vintage.

She’s usually behind the scenes, but when you get a chance to pick her brain you always walk away having learned something new. She loves her craft and it shows in every glass.
