Students will work alongside FPUD professionals, visit job sites and treatment facilities, learn hands-on skills, and gain exposure to career pathways in the public utility industry.

to circa 2005 with Kyle checking a sewer line! Many in the community may recognize Kyle as a familiar friendly face around town and from his nearly 35 years at before retiring a few years ago.

Kyle spent many years managing the sewer crews and helping keep our wastewater system running smoothly and in ship shape. Thank you, Kyle, for your decades of hard work and dedication to the community! 👏

to circa 1949, when local boys celebrated the arrival of the very first water flowing into Red Mountain Reservoir! 💧

More than 75 years later, this reservoir is still serving customers today. It holds about 440 million gallons of water.

It was so fun seeing everyone pick out plants at our drought-tolerant plant giveaway. These plants are not only beautiful, but are built to thrive with less water and less maintenance.

This event was made possible through grant funding from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, bringing easy, sustainable choices to our community 💧

to Phil Swing, former attorney for , former congressman, and co-author of the Hoover Dam. Phil helped lead the way for our water rights—following a decades-long, nearly 70-year legal battle with Camp Pendleton—so we could eventually use the Santa Margarita River as a water source.

The Santa Margarita River runs right through Fallbrook, but we only began using its water in 2022, following an earlier agreement with Camp Pendleton to share access. 💧
