Here’s a real unicorn 🦄 and this time it’s a SOG S1 Bowie. I purchased this gem from an eBay seller located in Japan, so it could be catalogued into ONLYSOG.COM and share it with you. It’s SO unique, I reached out to my Sensei, Spencer Frazer, SOG Founder and former President for more information. More to follow…

Some of the reasons why this S1 is unique are:
- No SEKI JAPAN stamp
- No Special Forces Crest stamp
- Not sterile because there is 5th SFG unit info
- Sheath is 100% plain. No SOG box logo or Special Forces Crest.

I’ve seen hundreds of S1 Bowie’s, so I’m rather curious about this one. Until we hear back from Spencer, I’m interested in your thoughts…

Does anyone like this Attack Knife?

I’ve been looking forward to this post since taking these beautiful photos. I’ve decided they’re some of my favorite SOGs. The Kiku design, exceptional quality and feel make it a winner in my book. Since I haven’t posted them yet on ONLYSOG.COM, here is some additional information.

FYI I believe these Hidaka Knives will be very collectible because very few retailers are selling them.

Hidaka YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/pM4l9n8oXoo?si=3mCk4_7Ik4dXcz2L

FX Description: The Hidaka FX features a 4.8" CRYO 3V steel blade with a beautiful black or satin finish and razor-sharp edge, all expertly styled by the legendary Japanese knife designer, Kiku Matsuda. The blade has a classic Matsuda hollow to flat grind that he has built his reputation on for cutting precision and easy maintenance. This knife is finished with a no-slip Micarta handle thats as beautiful as it is functional. The Hidaka FX includes a Kydex sheath for safe storage and easy access.

XR Description: Stylish and formidably functional, it's everything you’d expect a tool designed by renowned Japanese knife designer Kiku Matsuda to be. This knife features a four inch 3V steel blade with a modified tanto design and a menacing black or satin finish. Overall, from its blade tip to the butt of the elegant Micarta handle, it measures nine inches, providing an in-hand feel that’s perfectly balanced. Featuring the SOG XR lock, which can withstand 1,500 pounds of force, users can trust in the ultimate security when the blade is deployed, and enjoy a folding knife with the lock up of a fixed blade.

The SOG Twitch II. After years and handling hundreds of SOG Knives, I’ve decided the Twitch II will be one of my EDCs. Specifically, the checkered handle model (2nd & 3rd pics), which has an improved grip. The AUS-8 steel takes a bit to sharpen, but retains a nice edge after lots of usage. The best part is that it’s very comfortable to carry.

Does anyone else have a Twitch for their EDC?

Every now and then, you can find a gem on eBay. I’m still filling some small gaps in ONLYSOG.COM with quality SOG Knives that haven’t been cataloged yet. This blacked out AutoClip wasn’t in there, so I’.ll be posting it soon.

FYI the AutoClips without a thumb stud were made in the USA and the ones with a thumb stud were made in China.

Check out this Fulcrum II…. Wow! This is NOT your typical throwing knife. It’s a bit over 12” long, weighs 12.5 ounces and has a brass balance adjustment. If I were you, I’d stand clear of the target 😳. There’s a Fulcrum I if you want a smaller version. The last pic is a screenshot from the 2008 SOG Catalog.

Which one… the Blackout or Satin Kiku Hikada FX?

I’ve spend several thousands to stand up a ad-free website, purchase hundreds of thousands more in knives to populate it, and then spend thousands of hours photographing, researching and managing ONLYSOG (one man show), give all the money to charity, only to receive messages like this:

Hello Jay
Thank you for answering to my enquiry. I thought i had send my mail to the producer of said knives.
Obviously I was wrong.I have no interest in buying from another collector whitch by the way you are not since you are trading knives all over the world.Persons doing that are just traders traders ,merchants at best and have no
or zero feeling for the passion (collectors are not in it for the money!).But thats ok if thats your gig.My take on this:
I cannot have much respect for guys that hord a stack of collectors items hoping to profit selling them at high prices.
