National Donut Day Celebration 🍩☕

Residents celebrated National Donut Day with sweet treats, smiles, and wonderful memories!

Everyone in our Suites/Memory care enjoyed a delicious donut, a warm cup of coffee, and meaningful time with friends while reminiscing about favorite bakery visits, cherished family traditions, and special treats from years gone by.

The fun continued with a lively Donut Ring Toss Competition and an engaging round of Donut Trivia, bringing laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of sweet moments to the day.

It was a delightful celebration filled with friendship, nostalgia, and, of course, donuts! 🍩❤️

Our Suites Memory Care neighborhood spent Memorial Day gathered together in remembrance and reflection. Our residents enjoyed a special patriotic luncheon surrounded by red, white, and blue decor while taking the time to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. It was a special opportunity to come together as a community and honor the true meaning of Memorial Day. ♥️🤍💙

Memorial Day was observed with remembrance, gratitude, and community at Silvergate. Chef Phil featured pulled pork, ribs, hamburgers, coleslaw, pasta salad, and beans. Phil Leonelli provided live music which created a wonderful backdrop. Robin shared a message about the true meaning of Memorial Day and the importance of remembering those who gave their lives in service to our country. Residents also listened to the powerful poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae, taking a moment to reflect on the sacrifices that have protected our freedoms. It was a meaningful day spent honoring our nation’s heroes.

Our Silvergate residents spent the day in Oceanside exploring the California Surf Museum with a wonderful tour guide who shared the history and stories behind the exhibits. Afterward, the group enjoyed lunch together at The Broiler by the harbor. It was a beautiful afternoon spent enjoying the coast!

Residents recently enjoyed a meaningful “Travel Passport to Vietnam” cultural experience at Silvergate Fallbrook. Special guest speaker Young Milton shared stories about Vietnam’s history, culture, and the journey of leaving Vietnam after the country fell to communism. Her words deeply moved us as we listened to her personal experience.

We also enjoyed special homemade Vietnamese dishes prepared by Hanh DeMore, along with traditional music, the beautiful Vietnamese outfits called an Ao Dai, and cultural displays. A huge thank you to Young & Hanh who shared their traditions and helped create such a special experience for our residents.

Our Suites Memory Care neighborhood enjoyed a beautiful Mother’s Day Tea Party surrounded by family, staff, and friends. Families joined residents for an elegant afternoon featuring delicious seasonal teas, along with simple yet beautifully prepared hors d’oeuvres created by Chef Phil.

The celebration was made even more special by the wonderful duo, Burnes and Harriet, who filled the room with timeless classics on violin and piano while singing along. It was truly a lovely celebration honoring the mothers and women who mean so much to our community.

Our ladies enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of much needed Mother’s Day pampering! Residents were treated to relaxing Mary Kay facials by the wonderful Margaret Leonelli while sipping sparkling mimosas and enjoying fresh fruit and delicious pastries prepared by Chef Phil.

With soft headbands, skincare, laughter, and time spent together, the room was filled with special moments. Thank you to Margaret for treating our residents to such a thoughtful and uplifting experience as always, and to Chef Phil for the beautiful refreshments.

It was a lovely way to celebrate the women who have given so much love and care throughout their lives.

What a great fiesta we had on Tuesday here at Silvergate Fallbrook! The incredible mariachi band, Olmos de San Diego, really brought the dancing out in our residents and staff, which filled the room with so much fun energy. The food, music, decorations, and the festive outfits truly brought the celebration and culture to life. It was so nice seeing everyone singing, smiling, clapping, and enjoying a great time together!

Last week, we had our wonderful April Candlelight Dinner!

Chef Phil created a beautiful meal, starting with soup du jour and followed by a choice of grilled pork chop with apple cider reduction or baked monkfish with coconut curry sauce. It was nicely complemented by truffle mac and cheese, roasted brussel sprouts, and a chocolate ganache cake.

Phil Leonelli played the piano and sang throughout the evening. He truly set the tone. The music, the candlelight, and the nicely dressed residents made this evening come together beautifully.
