Inaugural Appalachian Blues Festival takes place this weekend near Huntington HUNTINGTON — It will be an exciting time for local blues aficionados as the inaugural Appalachian Blues Festival takes place this weekend.

We are excited to announce that the City of Mount Vernon, Kentucky is co-presenting the Kentucky Blues Music Festival on June 17th. We also want to thank Jackson Energy and Lone Star Farm & Home for sponsoring the event. We look forward to having 2022 Inductee Tee Dee Young performing 2 hours of fine soulful music. Treyvon King Band will be opening up the show. Thanks to our sponsors, this event will be FREE to attend! Bring a chair, sunscreen, and bugspray as we enjoy the sounds of the blues. Food trucks will be on hand, along with beer and wine vendors.
