🇺🇸 D-DAY | JUNE 6, 1944

Today marks the anniversary of D-Day, one of the most significant moments in modern history.

On June 6, 1944, more than 156,000 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, France, beginning the operation that would help liberate Europe and ultimately change the course of World War II.

It's difficult to fully comprehend the courage it took for those young men to step onto those beaches knowing the odds they faced. Many never made it home, yet they moved forward anyway in service to something greater than themselves.

Their sacrifice helped preserve freedom for future generations and serves as a reminder that the liberties we enjoy today were earned through extraordinary bravery and selflessness.

Today, we honor those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who gave everything for the cause of freedom.

May we never forget what they did, what they endured, and what they fought to protect.

❤️ R.E.D. Friday – Remember Everyone Deployed ❤️

Every Friday, I wear red to remember those who are currently deployed around the world and separated from their families while serving our country.

As a retired Marine, this one has always been personal. I know what it means to miss birthdays, holidays, milestones, and the everyday moments most people take for granted. Service comes with sacrifices that are often made quietly and without recognition.

Today, it carries even more meaning for me because my son is currently deployed aboard a Navy ship. Following in the footsteps of service, he's serving as a Marine and doing his part alongside so many others who are away from home right now.

To all those deployed, and to the families holding things together back home, know that you are seen, appreciated, and not forgotten.

Please take a moment today to remember everyone deployed and the sacrifices they and their loved ones make every day for our freedom.
