Today’s prompt is pregnancy. My beautiful daughter on the right is pregnant with her rainbow baby. She lost a little girl at 35 weeks not long ago so this baby is so extra special to all of us. I didn’t know she was pregnant when I took the picture. She hid it from me for months just so she could surprise us for Christmas. We are thrilled! I cannot wait for July to get here.

My great grandfather, Robert Arthur Rosbrugh, grew up working in the zinc mines of Jasper County, Missouri. Around 1912, at 35 years old, still living at home, he moved to Los Angeles, California with his parents. While visiting a brother in Oklahoma, he met Willie Mae and married her on Christmas Eve. They returned to Los Angeles where he worked as a “laborer”.
Laborer can mean many things. For Robert Rosbrugh, it was pushing a wooden cart on wheels that carried his tools from door to door doing handyman work for neighbors.

My husbands great uncle Joseph E Donaldson and his wife led travel groups all over the world in the early 1900s. When he retired he wrote a book about their travels called “Echoes: From Many Lands” published in 1942.

This photo! I can’t stop looking at it. The couple sitting is my great grandparents Ruby and Daniel Hinsley. This was their wedding day. She was only 14 years old. It was 1912. I don’t know who the woman is standing behind her but I love her hat with the flowers on the side. And my great grandmothers bouquet. So beautiful!

W is for World War II where my grandfather fought in the army. He said he escaped death so many times he earned the nickname “Lucky” that he went by for the next 50 years.

Is it possible to have “Too much Christmas?” According to the Muscatine News-Tribune on December 25, 1913 my 2x great grandmother’s 4th or 5th or maybe 6th husband ( I cant keep them straight),Harry Donahey, had had Too Much Christmas, passed out in the gutter and was dragged by passersby to the police station. My gg grandmother left him a few months later.
