One of our twin sister kittens TANGERINE escaped out of a broken screen on 5-27. We live on Davis Drive, north of Mission Road. She's never been outside before, raised as an indoor cat due to wildlife in our canyon. If you see her, please respond. Thanks.

I was proud to support the final group of Fallbrook Union High School recipients at the "Student of the Month" program this morning. Congratulations to well deserving students who have gone above and beyond. Superintendent Ilsa Garza-Gonzalez and Board President Eddie Jones and I presented "designer" cookies to the committee member, who put this event together every month!

It was a pleasure to attend the Fallbrook Unified Elementary School District board meeting this month. Due to unexpected weather, Leer A Fallbrook had to be postponed until July 27th at Maie Ellis ES. The board and Leer committee members recognized the three poetry and three essay winners. Congratulations to these fabulous students. Thank you also to the school district, teachers, and staff for supporting this amazing program and event!

Honored to cut the ribbon to officially open the newly constructed CTE Building 400 at Fallbrook High School. Spaces were designed for our ROTC program, Digital & Media Arts classes and a medical training facility in collaboration with Palomar College, helping students gain skills to enter the medical profession. While students who desire or need college education for their career choices can take those classes, it is great to recognize the many other necessary careers that may be better options for students. FUHSD is committed to providing all students with the support they need to find the right profession that meets their interests and skills!

As Trustees for the Fallbrook Union High School District, we are pleased every month to recognize our student accomplishments, as well as honor our hard working staff members, teachers and administrators for all they do. A special thank you to Fallbrook citizens, who participated in our redistricting efforts, attending workshops or board meetings. Without your diligent efforts to work with us on this complex matter, we wouldn't have had the amazingly successful map created by the county demographers. We greatly valued the input from staff and teachers, as well as valid concerns from our parents and community. This is what makes Fallbrook "The Friendly Village'!

The Fallbrook Area Democratic Club recently celebrated its official 20th anniversary! We thank our gracious hosts for their lovely home, grounds, and delicious food, as well as our event organizers. We also honored our past presidents for their time and service and recognized our current club president. Unofficially, there has been a democratic club in Fallbrook since 1940. In addition to political activism, voter registration drives, and election work, our members also support many local charities with donation of volunteer hours, scholarships and collection drives, including the Fallbrook Food Bank and Animal Sanctuary.

Emerge California Class of 2024 celebrates May 2nd, 2024 as "National Women Talk Politics Day". Our voices need to be amplified and our hard earned rights protected for ourselves and for the next generation of girls and women!!! So proud to be a part of this important issue and for the Emerge programs and trainers. Once in a lifetime worth of knowledge and friends gained!
