Congratulations, Lieutenant Jessica Anderson on a recognition so well deserved. We couldn't be prouder to call Jess a Club Kid! Fall River Needs Club Kids.

Life Saving Award – Lieutenant Jessica Anderson - Presented on Sunday, May 17th, 2026.

It is with great respect and admiration that we present the Life Saving Award to Lieutenant Jessica Anderson for her extraordinary actions during a tragic and chaotic incident that occurred at the Portuguese-American Club located in Portsmouth, RI on June 7th, 2025.

While off duty, Lieutenant Anderson was thrust into a scene marked by devastation following a catastrophic porch collapse. Without hesitation, she stepped forward, assuming control in an environment filled with confusion, fear, and urgent need. As she awaited the arrival of Portsmouth Police Department and rescue personnel, Lieutenant Anderson immediately began triaging victims, assessing injuries, and organizing care under rapidly evolving conditions.

Upon the arrival of local on-duty first responders, her leadership became even more apparent. Fellow emergency personnel instinctively turned to her for guidance. Lieutenant Anderson coordinated critical efforts—retrieving stretchers and equipment, assisting with patient care, obtaining vital signs, and aiding in the administration of life-saving medical interventions. Her calm command presence brought structure and direction to an otherwise overwhelming scene.

Amidst the tragedy, where one young life was lost and another hung in the balance, Lieutenant Anderson’s actions went beyond technical skill. As an injured teenager lay pinned beneath debris beside her lifeless friend, Lieutenant Anderson remained by her side despite the inherent dangers. She offered comfort, reassurance, and compassion—speaking gently and ensuring the young victim was never alone in her most vulnerable moment. In that space between fear and hope, Lieutenant Anderson became a steady voice of strength.

Acts of heroism are not always defined by dramatic gestures, but often by quiet courage, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to others. Lieutenant Anderson exemplified all of these qualities. Her response transcended training—it reflected character, humanity, and an unshakable sense of duty.

Through her decisive actions, calm professionalism, and deeply compassionate care, Lieutenant Anderson directly contributed to saving a life. Her conduct stands as a powerful reflection of the values of the Tiverton Police Department—service, integrity, and excellence.

For her exceptional bravery and selfless dedication to others, Lieutenant Jessica Anderson is proudly presented with the Life Saving Award.

Congratulations Lieutenant Anderson!

A huge thank you to the National Grid and Bristol County Savings Bank teams for all of their hard work in yesterday's heat! They put up tents, mulched downed limbs, raked up countless pinecones, cleaned roofs, painted picnic benches, the dining hall, and camp center, and did it all with great pride and joy. A total of 34 volunteers came together to make it all happen. Thank you for investing in our Club Kids with your time and energy and creating a beautiful space for .
