What is a stroke?
A stroke occurs when a blood vessel carrying oxygen to the brain is blocked by a clot or bursts. When that happens, part of the brain cannot receive the oxygen it needs, causing brain cells to die.

What are some signs of a stroke?
F.A.S.T.
Face drooping
Arm weakness
Speech difficulty
Time is critical, call 911!

6 ways to help prevent a stroke:
- Lower your blood pressure
- Maintain a healthy diet
- Exercise
- Quit smoking/limit alcohol consumption
- Get optimal sleep (at least 6hrs every night)
- Treat other heart conditions
