A few words,
first and foremost, I am thankful to God for where my life is at the moment;
I have an amazing wife, family, good friends, and above all - faith in God.
That said, truly, traps are set before us when we are at our most comfortable and personal growth is hindered.
Perhaps you may also agree with me that self awareness is easier said than done, considering we have different circumstances upon which we have our own biases.
To judge the intent of the heart is to weight it against good conscious, sometimes this is difficult to do because we come face to face with the walls and boundaries that surround us. This is necessary nonetheless. It is especially hard, considering that most things today are meant to draw your attention outside of yourself and “make you feel good.” This is a rabbit hole of a topic, but more relevant by the day.
The year is coming to a close, whoa, the decade actually!… I can say that I have taken up new challenges that have kept me quite busy, sometimes frustrated, angry, and often times, distant. Some moments in between, I collect myself by playing music, and not for anyone in particular; it’s just how I regurgitate the everyday life.
These songs tend to me personal, sometimes about a particular thing, feeling, outburst of anger and quite often prayers— its one way of coming up for fresh air. For this particular reason, I seldom have the drive to share them with others or ‘perform’.
I don’t do this often, but next week I am getting up off my butt and will perform a 25 minute set of my favorite songs these past months. A small gesture of welcoming you into seeing the world through my eyes.
I wish you a great season of joy, happiness, discovery, and meaning. I love you and above all, Jesus loves you. Regardless, you are loved.

In downtimes between work, studies, and all other things that occupy our time these days, I made some tunes.
