Fall River Firefighters

🚨 Ladder 4 – Training on Reserve Apparatus 🚨

🚒 Today, members of Ladder 4 took time to train and familiarize themselves with a temporary replacement apparatus.

With the current Ladder 4 out of service due to mechanical issues, crews are now operating a borrowed reserve ladder truck provided by the manufacturer of the city's new Ladder 4, which is still a year away from delivery.

👨‍🚒 Operating an unfamiliar apparatus requires additional training and preparation. Members spent time learning the truck's equipment, controls, and operating procedures to ensure they are ready to respond safely and effectively when an emergency comes in.

💪 Despite the challenges of aging equipment and unexpected mechanical breakdowns, Fall River Firefighters continue to adapt, train, and remain ready to serve the community.

Members of the Fire Prevention Bureau, with the assistance of our on-duty crews, have completed the 1st Quarter School Fire Drills throughout the city’s schools. 🏫🚒

In accordance with 527 CMR 1.00, these required drills help ensure students, teachers, and school staff are familiar with evacuation procedures and prepared to safely exit their schools during an emergency.
