Greater Fall River REC Outreach Program

Another stop along the Peace Pole Project brought us to United Neighbors of Fall River!
Kerrie and her team show us what peace looks like every day with their unwavering commitment to bringing people together. We’re grateful to have United Neighbors as part of this community-wide celebration of peace.
The Peace Poles in Fall River are just so plentiful that you’ll have to come back tomorrow to see where else our travels took us. Can you guess which Peace Poles remain to be documented? Stay tuned! 🌎🕊️

Last night was a powerful reminder of what happens when our youth, staff, families, and community come together with one purpose to stand for peace, honor those we’ve lost, and choose a different path forward.

Our Outreach Program is about building relationships, creating safe spaces, supporting our young people, and letting them know that they are SEEN, VALUED, HEARD and LOVED.

Seeing so many of our youth come together, writing personal messages and memories on balloons was incredibly meaningful. Every message represented someone who matters and a community that refuses to forget.

We are so proud of our young people and grateful for every staff member, partner, and community member who continues to show up for them.

This is Outreach. This is Community. This is Family.

Join the Youth Outreach Program as we come together for a Peace Walk & Balloon Release in honor of the lives we’ve lost to violence.

Together, we’ll walk in remembrance, lift our voices for peace, and release balloons as a symbol of love, hope, and the lives that will never be forgotten. 🎈🕊️

On Thursday, August 6, Summer League Showdown showcased three (3) incredible games from our High School teams.

Amazing program that focuses on so much more than basketball. 🏀❤️ It gives our youth opportunities to build confidence, develop life skills, create positive relationships, and grow both on and off the court. Programs like this truly making a difference in the lives of our young people!
