๐Ÿ“ฃ Spartacus is back from training! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Spartacus is now very green under saddle and in harness pulling a cart. He is still early in his training and will need an experienced adopter to continue his education.

Because of his training level, Spartacus is not suitable for a beginner rider or driver. He would be a great fit for someone with mule or hinny experience who understands how to work with and develop a green equine.

Visit our website to view his bio and/or fill out an adoption application!

๐ŸŽ‰ Adoption Day at Mending Hope! ๐ŸŽ‰

We had a big weekend at the rescue with not one, but two adoptions!

Ava and Spartacus were picked up from the trainer, and Ava went straight to her adopters. We got to watch Cassy and Bella's first rides on Ava after her training, and it was wonderful to watch them begin their journey together.

Meanwhile, our volunteer Sky has been working hard with Aria, one of the Mustangs from the failed ROAR facility in Texas, to help prepare her for adoption. The progress she has made with Aria has been incredible! When it was time to leave, Aria walked right up onto the trailer and loaded like a pro.

Congratulations to Cassy and Bella on adopting Aria and Ava! Thank you for opening your hearts and homes to these wonderful mares. โค๏ธ

We wish both girls the very best as they begin their new lives with their new family. ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’•

I am pounding post today if anyone is bored and wants to help! Weโ€™re adding more pasture for Penny, Spirit, Willow, Rain and Dove. As, Quinn, Scarlet, ๏ฟผSienna, Gypsy and Cinnamon are a little more appropriate for being out in Polly wire they will be added with Penny and her group.

๐Ÿด Doveโ€™s Journey ๐Ÿด

Dove is a 2025 Mustang filly, born at our rescue on April 1, 2025 to Aria, a BLM Mustang from ROAR, a failed Texas rescue.

Dove is sweet, loving, and adores attention. She has started haltering and leading, and she continues to gain confidence and enjoy human interaction each day. Dove would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a friendly, affectionate young Mustang. ๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿ“ฃ If youโ€™re interested in giving this sweet filly a home, visit our website to fill out an adoption application. Please like and share this post to help Dove find her forever home! โค๏ธ

Aria is trying to teach Gypsy how to do the bridge ๐Ÿดโœจ Itโ€™s always interesting watching them learn and figure things out together.

Doesnโ€™t Aria look great in her halter! ๐Ÿ’›

Duchess (with Winslie in tow) knows when itโ€™s chop time ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿด.

But apparently sheโ€™s also a little camera shy ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ’š and stops nickering once the camera comes out.๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿด

Chop is an important part of the daily diet for several of our horses who need extra calories, easier-to-chew feed, or a little nutritional support. It is one of those small daily costs that adds up quickly at the rescue.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please donate $5 today to help us keep the chop buckets full.
