Food for Others will be closed on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.

We will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, June 22nd.

For 30 years, we’ve stood alongside our neighbors—celebrating milestones and navigating challenges together.

In the past year alone, we served more than 60,000 individuals, and we remain committed to growing our impact by continually reflecting on how we can reach even more people in need.

While the successes of our core programs have made a powerful difference, our work is far from over. As SNAP benefits are reduced and eligibility becomes more restrictive, an estimated 800,000 Virginians may face reduced access to essential food support at a time when many are already struggling.

In celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month this June, we’re spotlighting the importance of diversity, inclusivity, and connection through food 🥬

Thanks to our volunteers and farm partnerships, we're able to collect a diverse selection of produce to serve to our neighbors. In one farm stand alone, we've offered: Rainbow chard, Collard greens, Rhubarb, Bok choy, and more!

We’re proud to include nourishing food that honors the many cultures in our community and supports the recipes families know and love 💚

We started in 1995 with one goal: no neighbor should go hungry.

🥫 After just two years of its founding, FFO distributed 1 million pounds of food for the first time. Today, we distribute over 3 million in just one year.

🎒 Through the expansion of our warehouse, the Power Pack Program began in 2011 with 5 participating schools. In our 30th year, the number has grown to 47 schools.

Through fun games and swag items, we had the amazing opportunity to connect with our community and spread the word about our mission—feeding families, even when school’s out! ☀️🥕

A HUGE thanks to the Porsche Chantilly team for hosting an incredible Cars & Coffee food drive for Food for Others. The Porsche community showed up bright and early with generous donations of much needed pantry staples and more. What a way to drive change together! 🚗
