Long before they founded Pyramid Systems, Jeff Hwang and Sherry Hwang met as students on the Georgia State University campus. Two young people from Taiwan, far from home, building a future one class at a time.
Today, they're making sure the next generation gets that same chance.
Both earned their degrees in Computer Information Systems at Georgia State's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. That education became the foundation for their careers, their marriage, and the company they would go on to build together. They never forgot where it started.
In 2010, Jeff and Sherry established the Jeff and Sherry Hwang Scholarship, an endowed fund at the Robinson College, to help students pursuing the same path they once walked. In the years since, they've returned to that commitment again and again, with additional gifts in 2011 and 2017 bringing their giving to $250,000.
Now they're opening a new chapter. Through the Hwang AI Scholar Initiative, a $50,000 gift, they're supporting students in Georgia State's new Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Transformation, launching this fall, and helping prepare the next generation to lead in an AI-driven economy.
All told, their commitment to Georgia State now stands at $300,000. Fifteen years of giving back to the place that gave them their start. Not a single gesture, but a belief lived out over time: that opportunity is meant to be passed on.
Congratulations, Jeff and Sherry. Everyone at Pyramid Systems is proud to call you our founders.
Same Pyramid. New mark.
The new Pyramid Systems brand is live. New logo, new website at pyramidsystems.com, and a way of talking about our work that finally matches what we actually do.
We started in 1995. Three decades of helping federal agencies modernize the systems people across the country depend on. The work hasn't changed. What changed is the way we show up to talk about it.
To our customers, our team, and the partners who helped get us here, thank you. New look. Same mission. Thirty years in, we still feel like we're just getting started.

Justice moves at the speed of its systems.
We're proud to share that Pyramid Systems has been selected to modernize the Client Management System (CMS) for the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia (PSA/DC).
PSA/DC supports the courts in the nation's capital. It gathers information on newly arrested defendants, makes release recommendations, and supervises those released pending trial, all in service of pretrial justice and community safety. The CMS is central to that work, and we're honored to help carry it into its next generation.
Our approach is the one we've proven across agencies like HUD, FDIC, DHS, and SEC: modernize in phases, keep the legacy system running without disruption, and deliver value early and often. That means cloud migration, Agile DevSecOps, automated pipelines, and security built in from the start, delivered by a senior team that hits the ground running.
For three decades, Pyramid has helped federal agencies modernize the systems their missions depend on. We're grateful for the opportunity to do it again here.
Congratulations to the team that made this happen.

After 10 years of dedicated service at Pyramid Systems, we proudly celebrate the retirement of Jian Zhou, Vice President of Account Client Delivery.
At Pyramid, Jian consistently led highly complex, mission‑critical programs to success, most notably in support of HUD and USCIS, earning exceptional customer praise on nearly every project she oversaw. Her ability to balance delivery excellence, stakeholder trust, and team leadership set a standard few can match.
