Virginia APEX Accelerator Director, Lisa Wood was the featured speaker at Mason SBDC's Lunch and Learn workshop held on June 2, 2026 at Office Evolution Herndon.
25 participants attended the session which highlighted researching/finding government contracting opportunities in today's market.

On Monday, June 1st, Mason SBDC's Aung Shepelev, (our wonderful Assistant Director) attended the '2026 Path to Partnership Subcontracting Conference' hosted by our friends the Virginia APEX Accelerator at the Sherwood Community Center in Fairfax City.
Mason SBDC was one among several community resource partners represented at the exhibitor space. The Conference schedule included a Roundtable Matchmaking session, remarks, and networking breaks, giving small business contractors a chance to explore partnership opportunities and connect with Primes and programs.

Last month Mason SBDC Senior Business Counselor, Elis Devlin attended the special edition of 'Entrepreneurship 101: From Idea to Expansion' session by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority held at the UVA NOVA Campus.
The event agenda included workshops, resource expo, a Google AI Basics Training Lab, and networking opportunities.
Additionally, Mason SBDC one of the resource exhibitors at the Small Business Expo represented by Director, Timm Johnson.
