Meet our Racing Coach, Brian Tassi!
Coach Tassi brings more than 25 years of rowing and coaching experience to Resilient. Throughout his career, he has coached every boat class - from singles to eights - at the junior, collegiate, U.S. Rowing developmental, and elite levels.
His athletes have earned medals at major regattas including the US Rowing Club National Championships, Canadian Henley, and the Pan American Games.
For the 2026 season, Coach Tassi will focus on developing our small boat athletes while assisting both the Men's and Racing Women's teams. His depth of experience, technical expertise, and passion for athlete development make him an invaluable part of our coaching staff.

Meet our Women’s Racing Coach, Taylor Kuligowski!
Taylor brings over a decade of rowing experience and a deep connection to the Resilient program. As a junior athlete, she rowed for Resilient, Langley High School, and the USRowing Junior National High Performance Team, earning medals at national regattas and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.
She was later recruited to row at the NCAA Division I level for the University of Miami, where she competed in both the First and Second Varsity Eights while earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Taylor’s coaching experience includes serving as Langley’s Women’s Novice Coach, Resilient Development Coach, and Resilient Men’s Assistant Coach. Multiple crews she coached have earned medals at the Virginia State Championships.

Meet our Men’s Racing Coach, Peter Kristensen!
Coach Peter has been with Resilient since the summer of 2024 and has been the racing coach at Resilient since the fall of that same year. He rowed for Resilient himself, and following that, rowed in college at UMW. During the spring, he is Langley High School Men’s Freshman Coach, who are currently back-to-back state champions in the Freshman 8. He has experience working with both sculling and sweep boats, and has achieved top results in both. Coach Peter believes that boat speed comes from strong fundamentals, with a big emphasis on body control and suspension.
We’re excited to have Peter leading our men’s racing team this summer.
