We asked EMEF if he could talk to his high school, what advice would he give? This is his response…
“Make tangibles of your ideas! Figure out how to bring any and all of your ideas to reality. Keep going! Be consistent and don’t stop until it’s done!

Meet Mr. Carlos 'Mare139' Rodriguez,
A multi-disciplinary artist/creative that has been making amazing visual impact for decades. From bombing subways trains in NYC in the 80s to designing the signature award sculpture that is given to BET Award recipients, he has done it.

We asked Carlos what skills do you need to be successful in what he does professionally?
"Passion, if you don’t have that practice curiosity it will lead you to a few, if that doesn’t work try Advocacy and be in service to the talent, this is also inspirational and can lead to mutual success. Working collectively is super important as well. I also believe in educating yourself outside your comfort zone and in emerging fields. More importantly you need a plan, a goal and a desired outcome - gauge ideas produce vague results."

Meet Mr. Jeremy Brown, a proud graduate of Chattahoochee High School in Alpharetta, Georgia and is a very successful mixed media artist based in the city of Atlanta.
We asked Jeremy what were things that impacted him in high school that has helped you be a successful working artist/creative today? This is what he said.

Jeremy: I believe it was my sophomore year that I really started painting. I remember my girlfriend at the time’s mother saw some pieces I had done and commissioned me to make some similar for her office lobby. The pieces were heavily influenced by Mark Rothko but had a contest of organized chaos to them.
