GUACK

The “67” (or “6-7”) meme is a viral, definition-free catchphrase popular among Gen Alpha and younger Gen Z. Pronounced “six-seven,” it means nothing literal. Kids use it as a playful inside joke to build a sense of belonging and to troll or confuse adults.

The meme traces back to the late 2024 drill rap track “Doot Doot” by rapper Skrilla, where “6-7” is repeated as a catchy hook, likely referencing 67th Street in Philadelphia. The audio from the song went viral on TikTok and Instagram when fans used it in video edits of 6-foot-7 NBA star LaMelo Ball.

The meme truly exploded when a video of a young boy shouting “6-7!” at a basketball game went viral. When children chant the phrase, they may accompany it with an “emote” or hand gesture, alternating their palms up and down as if weighing two options.
