Only 2 more days until the Great Marsh Mud Mosey which we are so proud to be sponsoring for the second year.
The Great Marsh Institute is near and dear to us. Our patient coordinator, Valerie, is a licensed falconer and GMI hosts her and her hawk all season long. Our other patient coordinator, Taylor, had her wedding reception there last year!
The Great Marsh is a private property, but in addition to sharing it with researchers, students, birding associations and more- these public events allow our community to engage with this beautifully preserved marshland ecosystem. They will be offering farm-to-table pulled pork with pork raised onsite to participants after the run. There will also be a DJ, demonstrations by the search and rescue dogs, and talks about the marsh’s flora and fauna by biologists! 🌱 🐢 If you stop by to check it out, be sure to cheer Valerie on as she will be running in this year’s race.
This run benefits ChesCo Search Dogs, a a non-profit volunteer organization founded in 2014 dedicated to providing search and rescue resources to emergency service agencies as well as state and national agencies in an effort to locate lost and missing persons.
The race is presented in part by the venue , a non-profit organization dedicated to conservation. It is the purpose of the Great Marsh Institute to support scientific studies through access to the property, technical support, and opportunities for educational activities including funding for student interns. They offer many events throughout the year encouraging arts, conservation, and community.

Last weekend our lead acupuncturist Rosanna Giuliani had the honor of being a speaker at the conference held at Penn Medicine.
Rosanna’s workshop, titled “Put a Pin in It: Acupuncture Mechanisms and Treatment Options for Chronic Post Traumatic Headache” discussed recent studies that show promising results for sufferers of CPTH.
The conference itself and Rosanna’s talk were geared towards providing hope for TBI survivors and their caregivers by sharing the results of evidence based acupuncture for mitigating pain, trauma, and functional neurological disorders following a brain injury.
It was a pleasure connecting with community members and sharing the promising research being done to support those impacted by brain injuries.
If you missed it, check out the Mind Your Brain Foundation website for upcoming conferences, the next being in Malvern in September. MYB works to fill the gap in post-TBI care and rehabilitation by conducting these conferences and providing valuable resources. It’s important work and we are so grateful to have been included!

Our lead acupuncturist Rosanna Giuliani will be presenting at the upcoming Mind Your Brain Foundation Conference. The conference is open to the public and takes place on March 21st in Philadelphia at Penn Medicine.
Rosanna will be presenting a talk titled “Put a Pin in It: Acupuncture Mechanisms and Treatment Options for Chronic Post Traumatic Headache.” The talk will be geared toward survivors of traumatic brain injuries and their loved ones and caregivers.
TBI presents significant challenges, often leaving survivors and their loved ones feeling confused and isolated. The Mind Your Brain Foundations brings together an extraordinary community of survivors, families, and caregivers.
The Mind Your Brain Foundation provides a space to connect, share experiences, and discover available care and therapy options, establishing a community of strength and hope for recovery.
