BSA Troop 83

Last weekend Troop 83 ended our scout year by celebrating our 75th Anniversary! Congrats to all the scouts on their achievements throughout the year, and special congrats honoring our newest Eagle Scouts Ben and Leo!

Special thanks to all of the alumni who returned. It was great to catch up talk about the past and future of scouting.

A Scout is Brave! Last weekend our scouts had a great rock climbing outing to finish out the year

A Scout is Helpful! Last week our scouts made our annual visit to Black Rock Sanctuary to learn conservation techniques and help with a lot of invasive w**d cleanup.

This week Troop 83 held out annual Iron Chef competition, surprise secret ingredients blue cheese and wasabi! In a tough battle, the Amish Milkmen patrol and their orange chicken narrowly beat out the Radical Rams patrol and their BLT. Thanks to returning Eagle Scout Ethan who served as a special guest judge.

Attention all current and alumni members of Troop 83! We are proud to celebrate 75 years of Scouting with a special end-of-year banquet and Court of Honor, including recognition of our newest Eagle Scouts.

This evening will bring together current scouts, families, and Troop 83 alumni from across the years to honor our shared history and the values that have shaped generations of young men.

The program will include a formal Court of Honor, Eagle Scout recognition, and time to reconnect over dinner with fellow scouts and leaders. If any alumni would like to say a few words about their memories with the troop, please let us know!

Whether you were a scout, leader, parent, or supporter, you are an important part of this troop’s story, and we’d love to celebrate with you.

Last weekend our scouts hiked the Blue Mountain Trails at Bashore Scout Reservation. At the top of the mountain, in our First Annual Trail Cookoff, Luke's chicken fajitas narrowly beat out Alden's grilled cheese, Grayson's chili, and Patrick's chicken ramen!

Last week our troop was honored to join the Pack 216 crossover for Tristan, our newest member. Welcome Tristan!
