"Today, June 12, is the feast day of Enmegahbowh (c. 1820 - 1902), the first Native American to be ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church. Enmegahbowh, born a member of the Ojibwe Tribe in Canada, originally came to the United States as a Methodist missionary, but quickly found his spiritual home in the Episcopal Church. Following his ordination in 1867, he became known and respected for his skill in peacemaking, mediation, and in marrying indigenous with Christian traditions."

Teamwork makes the dream work! Neighbors from Trinity and South Shore Park worked collaboratively over several days to prep, prime, paint, and detail this sign, and they enjoyed getting to know one another better in the process. Whenever passing the sign, all can be reminded that this is what community looks like! 💙

Ready for action! All ages and abilities welcome and encouraged to stop by 255 Mill Street on Saturday, May 23 beginning at 10:00 a.m. to lend a hand, sip a root beer float, or just enjoy visiting with our neighbors. Hope to see you there!
