I'm excited to be returning to the World Famous Bucksnort Saloon, this Saturday, May 16th, from 5-9 PM. I know this is earlier than I usually play, but that's the schedule they're running these days on Saturday nights. It will be my last local public gig in Colorado until after my upcoming summer shows in Missouri, so don't miss it!

As always, it's best to arrive early. It's a legendary place, it's over 100 years old, it's cool, and it's also a fairly small place!

I'm excited to announce that the audiobook for my short story collection is now up on Spotify. Anyone who has Spotify Premium can listen to the whole book for free. Otherwise, you can buy it from Spotify for $8.99.

I'm really proud of this project. Guy Williams' narration is incredible as always, doing all the voices of the various characters. Since this is a short story collection of 21 stories, there are a lot of engaging characters!

Also, I did the narration for the interludes myself, saying what's going on at each stop along the way from Denver to Key West, which I did with Rusty Lewis for over 15 years. There are even musical snippets of many of my songs at the beginning and end of each story, as well as the full version of the song "Sailing Home" at the end of the book. Lots of fun and compelling memories from those road trips to Sloppy Joe's!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. My wife and I were down in Arizona welcoming our 11th grandchild, a beautiful little girl named Astrid, born on December 16th. What an incredible Christmas present for our family.

I just got back home to Colorado and am looking forward to closing out our incredible year of 2025 with a New Years Eve show at the The Little Bear Saloon in my hometown of Evergreen. It's a daytime show from 1-5 PM, so all of those who don't like doing the midnight thing can help me celebrate. It should be a really fun day. I'll also be there on Friday, January 2nd for my first show of 2026, also from 1-5 PM, so this week I'll be ringing out the old and ringing in the new.

Thanks to so many who came to some of my more than 70 shows this year. I continue to love what I do. Several people have said to me, "Don't stop!" No worries there. I'll keep on keepin' on as long as I'm able.

A note from Wayne...

Yikes!!
I got a call just this morning, one week from my Chicagoland 50th Anniversary concert. There was a mixup on hall bookings at the Des Plaines Elk's Lodge when the banquet manager left, and my show got bumped for a military banquet. I love our military, so at least I got bumped for a worthy cause. But I knew I had to find another location pronto! Fortunately, my very good friends Roger and Lisa, who were members at the Des Plaines Elks and got me there in the first place, are ALSO members of the Moose Lodge in Mount Prospect. So the show is now there, only about 10 minutes away from the Elks.

So it will be Moose instead of Elk!

SOME SPECIAL NOTES!!!!

We were lucky to get this room on such short notice, but it's quite a bit smaller than the Elk's Lodge. That means there will be just a few walk-in seats available, if any. We're close to capacity from tickets already sold online, so if you're planning to come to the show, you should get your tickets NOW. Only 25 more advance tickets will be sold, and when those are gone, we're sold out.

Also, there will be no food served at the Moose Lodge, and seating will be theater style (no tables), the way it was in the old days at Rob Roy Country Club. This should make for a really nice, intimate and fun show. You can bring in your own snacks or sandwiches, etc., but there will be no tables to eat them on.

There will be a full cash bar.

My incredible year continues.

THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, I'll be returning to The Little Bear Saloon in my hometown of Evergreen, just minutes from my house. It's a famous place, and a lot of big acts have performed there over the years, including Willie Nelson, Eric Burdon, The Platters, and many more. Yes, 2025 has been amazing, and it's still going on. A grandson's wedding and my wife's big birthday in June, the best Ozark summer yet, the return of the Bucksnort, an amazing 50th wedding anniversary celebration in the mountains a week ago with our entire family of 19, the upcoming concert in Chicago, our actual 50th wedding anniversary in November, and, to top it off, grandbaby #11 due at Christmas. Wow! I think I'll take 2026 off. But then again, probably not. I'm having too much fun!

This is really cool. A guy in Illinois has a podcast called "OK Boomer," about people who have done interesting things in their life. I guess I made the cut, because he did two whole episodes about me! If you've got a little time (each episode is about a half hour long), give it a listen, and if you think of it, share, like, send to all your friends and relatives, whatever. 🙂

A note from Wayne...

It was a blast returning to the resurrected Bucksnort in August. It made me remember why I love playing at that place.

I'll be back there THIS SATURDAY NIGHT at 7:30.

They've been busily getting things back up and running. In August, the menu was somewhat limited but I'm sure they've added some things by now. The parking is a little dicey, and when the in close lots are full, you have to park along the road. Just make sure you park far enough to the side so other cars can get by. For anyone with walking issues, you can drop them off in front of the place and then go park the car.

There weren't a lot of problems when I was there in August.

As always with the Bucksnort, try to arrive early. Although it was a full house when I played there in August, there were still seats and tables available at 7 o'clock, and now that the summer is over, it shouldn't be quite so crazy.

Tickets are now on sale for my big 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert in Chicagoland. I'm REALLY looking forward to this one. In the summer of 1975, I started this whole performing adventure after graduating from college. Who would have thought I'd still be doing this after 50 years and over 7000 shows? The show is on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 22nd, at 6:30 PM at the Elks Lodge Banquet Hall in Des Plaines, Illinois, near where I started my career.

It's finally here! After being closed for several years, the Bucksnort is back in action and wonderful. I play here THIS COMING SATURDAY at 7:30. I just got home from doing 7 weeks at Lake Of the Ozarks, doing 34 shows. It was my best summer ever there, so I'm truly at the top of my game. I can't wait to come back to the place that was my Colorado mainstay for many many years, playing there once a month in the old days. It's been up and running for about a month now and the word is out that it's going great.

There used to be a parking lot up the road, but that's no longer available. You can park all along the main road coming in, but just make sure you are far enough over to allow cars to get by. And please don't block anyone's driveway. It might be more complicated but hey, IT'S THE BUCKSNORT, AND IT'S BACK!!
