Some brands start with a business plan.
This one started with love.

CJ’s Wine Bar is a boutique 21+ concept inspired by the memory of Calliope Jane — the pup who gave the bar its name and heart.

The identity is rooted in Pacific Northwest heritage, drawing inspiration from the bold, nostalgic design language of classic Washington brewery marks. Mount Rainier anchors the composition, while deep evergreen and burgundy reflect both landscape and wine culture.

And if you look closely at the wine glass, you’ll notice a small collar wrapped around the stem — a quiet tribute woven into the design.

That detail makes me smile every time.

Because branding, to me, isn’t just about visuals — It’s about translating story into something lasting.

This one was an honor. 🍷🐾

There’s something really special about photographing the daughter of dear friends.

I’ve watched MacKenna grow up… and getting to document this season of her life, is such an honor. Senior year is this beautiful in-between — not a kid anymore, not quite launched — and she carried it with such grace.

From quiet smiles at the start to full confidence by the end, she owned every frame. And yes… she looks so much like her gorgeous mom, it made my heart swell.

What a joy this was. 🩵

A soft, PNW winter scene was the goal here. I utilized watercolor elements and sweet woodland animals to add depth and make these graphics come alive.
