I was at Sorticulture today and what a great turnout. I love having it in downtown Everett!
So many people I talked to also said the same.
As the owner of Cafe Zippy for over 17 years,
I think it’s important for events like this to involve the core of our city. This way so many small businesses in the area are benefitting from this event also. This is what community is about!!
I think it is important for the city to continues to have Events like this in downtown Everett.
I also talked to people at the event for the first time that enjoyed Sorticulture, restaurants, shops, and just roaming around downtown Everett. A big shout out to Tyler Chism and all the other staff at the City of Everett that helped facilitate this event.

Such sad news about the passing of Ed Fairbanks. He was a regular at cafe Zippy and had such a large circle of friends. I always saw him with such a big smile, a few good jokes here and there, and such a kind person.
At first I just couldn’t believe it and now it feels heavy on my heart. I’m sending so much love to Ed’s family & friends. Below is what I copied from At Large Brewing ….
—————————————
It is with heavy hearts that we ask all who knew Ed Fairbanks, to come raise a glass in his memory.
This Sunday, February 6, from 3-5 PM, join us, family, and friends at At Large Brewing to share stories and celebrate Ed's life.
Cheers Ed, you are truly missed.
If you would like to donate in anyway, the family would like it to go to 90.7 KSER, Ed's favorite radio station.
My next adventure is a food cart, and currently I’d like to talk to other people that have food carts or trucks. If you have a favorite food truck in the area let me know the name of it, or if you have any contact information I appreciate it.
just trying to find out where the people purchased there food trucks carts or if they designed them themselves. Doing a little research right now.
Thanks.
Marilyn

Cafe Zippy LLC is closing its doors this weekend. It’s really hard to believe. I so appreciate all the messages from the community during this difficult transition. I love that I found my way to Everett 19 years ago, when my horse Mojo ( who I board on Ebey Island)came into my life.
I’m a Mpls transplant who moved to Seattle 30 years ago. Seattle felt like my forever home….. until my journey brought me to Everett, the best kept secret.
Thanks to all the Everett residents over the many years ( how time flies ) .. for the friendship, support, creativity & love.
In my book, the sweetest things in life, fill our heart, and I had the opportunity to find it all in Everett!
I will post whatever my next chapter leads me to on Cafe Zippys’s FB page and website.

Have a great New Year & follow your dreams!
