Secure Construction Sites by Close of Business on Tuesday, November 3
What is happening?
Out of an abundance of caution, and in anticipation of election day disturbances, we are asking permit holders citywide - but especially those located in downtown, South Lake Union, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, and the Chinatown-International District - to secure movable signage (such as temporary no parking signs), street furniture for temporary cafes, and construction job sites by the close of business on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
What do I need to do?
At this time, restaurants, vendors, and retailers with temporary café, vending, or merchandise display permits and construction site managers in these areas should bring in tables, chairs, and other furniture, secure their work sites, and remove temporary no parking signs to the greatest extent possible when they have finished work for the day.
As a reminder, permittees are required to maintain safe conditions for the public at all times, including outside of work or business hours.
