Nope. Not today. Or tomorrow. Or any day hereafter. This doe and her entire line (one litter of five does) left our rabbitry today for good. She was mean one too many times. (And has been given many, many chances.) Breeding her didn't help - it just created more like her. 🤦
There are way too many great rabbits out there to keep mean ones. This choice wasn't easy, but the right one for us. I won't keep rabbits long-term if I think they might harm any of the people who care for them (or young visitors who may stop by).
This serves as fair warning to every other animal on my farm. Behave! 😁

Today I clipped chicken wings (one per bird) in an effort to keep them safe at home until the parts arrive for us to build a fully enclosed run. Contrary to what it may look like in these pics, I hardly ever hold these animals. Most of them did NOT want me to pick them up, so me catching them was probably quite entertaining to anyone who might have been watching. 😆. One of the little hens did a better job than the rooster did of protecting her "sisters".
I also heard our rooster crow for the first time today. He's a handsome boy with weird feet (some of his toes are webbed). 🐓
Tub time for the ducklings! ❤️

Maker's Mark - our Satin Angora buck from Quail Hollow Farms. He's one of the sweetest rabbits in our "barn". Today he had some pampering time. 😊
Cute little ducklings... one week old.
