Recently, the Everett Herald highlighted our Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse (PICAA), which serves adults and children affected by sexual or physical violence.

Last year, our PICAA team served more than 1,200 survivors, providing free medical exams, advocacy, therapy, and emergency support. These vital services and other community programs rely on philanthropic donations to continue operating.

THANK YOU to Wheels On The Waterfront and our generous community for ensuring cancer patients at Providence Everett are supported in their journey. This year's annual car show raised $25,000 for the cancer patient assistance fund, providing emergency financial assistance to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

🎀 Pouring rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of volunteers, survivors and rowing clubs that came together this year at the annual PNW Pink Ribbon Row and raised over $114,000 (and counting!) Our own Providence Comprehensive Breast Center is one of the recipients of these funds that go to support of breast cancer patients with screenings, treatment and awareness. A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who made this year's regatta a success!

We are pleased to announce that Mark Johnson has joined Providence General Foundation as the chief philanthropy officer. He brings a lifetime of knowledge working in philanthropy and is especially aligned with the Mission and work of Providence. He joins us from the Providence Hospice and Home Care Foundation of Snohomish County where he served as the director. Mark’s first day is today, so help us welcome him to the team. Falls are the leading cause of injury for seniors in our community. Providence Everett's trauma program is offering fall prevention classes, along with strength and balance training, to combat this challenge. And you funded it! Thanks for helping keep our seniors on their feet and out of the hospital.

Five days to go until Pink Ribbon Row! Are you ready? On Sunday, Sept 21 at Gas Works Park in Seattle, pink-costumed crews will row on Lake Union in a fun and friendly competition. The event is in its 26th year, raising funds for breast cancer detection, screening and diagnosis, often benefiting our local Providence Comprehensive Breast Center.
