The Helping Hands Project team is in Kennewick! Our dedicated staff is attending the Washington Behavioral Healthcare Conference this week to learn from national experts, share best practices, and bring home new tools to serve our community better.

We love seeing our team connect with other passionate professionals dedicated to making a difference!

This past year, Helping Hands Project Organization expanded housing support, behavioral health care, food security programs, outreach services, and survivor advocacy across Puget Sound.

As we continue building pathways to stability, this report reflects the impact made possible through our staff, partners, volunteers, and community supporters.

We love hearing from our community, but we want to make sure you have the right information! 🤝

There is currently a third-party campaign circulating regarding a "Helping Hands Act." To ensure no one is confused, we want to clarify that this is not a Helping Hands Project Org. initiative.

As a local non-profit dedicated to serving our Washington neighbors, we prioritize your privacy and security above all else. We are a separate, local entity focused on our community projects, and we do not have access to the records or applications associated with this "Helping Hands Act" outreach.

How to stay informed:
📍 Check the Source: Always verify the sender's email address and website.

Welcome Home!

We are so excited to celebrate another milestone! This is our second client move-in in just the last two weeks, and we couldn't be happier to see our neighbors settling into their new homes at Andy’s Place.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers for helping carry the load (literally!) and making move-in day a little lighter. From transporting furniture to offering a warm welcome, our volunteers are truly the heart of everything we do.

Want to help us keep this momentum going?
We are always looking for compassionate people to join our team and help us change lives, one move-in at a time.

🚨 Volunteers Needed Tomorrow 🚨

We have a client move-in happening tomorrow and are urgently looking for volunteers to help with unloading, unboxing, and basic setup at an apartment near Lynnwood / Alderwood Mall.

Even 1–2 hours of help can make a huge difference for a client transitioning into stable housing. Short notice, but high impact.

📩 Please DM us or email [email protected]
if you’re available tomorrow.
👉 Can’t help but want to support? Please share this post so it reaches someone who can.

Thank you for showing up for our community when it matters most 💛

The results are in, and we are blown away! The Cedarwood Elementary Sock and Hat Drive was a massive success thanks to your generosity.

Because of you, we collected:

462 pairs of socks

142 warm hats

These donations are headed straight to support our neighbors in need. From the colorful, hand-drawn donation boxes to every single item dropped off, the Sea Wolf spirit was on full display.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped us "bring warmth" and "be love" this season!

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to the kids and families at Cedarwood Elementary in the Everett Public School District for organizing a Sock and Hat Drive in support of our clients from January 20th to January 30th.

New socks and hats help our neighbors stay warm, healthy, and protected. These everyday items may seem small, but for our clients, they are essential.

If you’d like to support beyond the drive, consider donating to our Community Care Fund. Contributions to this fund allow our team to respond quickly to urgent needs such as emergency food, clothing, transportation, basic household items, and other immediate supports that help people stabilize and move forward.

Thank you, Cedarwood Elementary, for showing what it means to Be love and Bring Warmth for our community

Dr. King taught us that injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere.

At Helping Hands Project Organization, we see that every day through housing.

When someone has no safe place to live, everything else becomes harder. Health. Stability. Dignity.

Today we honor Dr. King by continuing the work of justice through housing, healing, and community.

What does “supportive housing” really mean?

At Helping Hands Project Organization, it means we do not just hand someone keys and walk away.

Our clients are people who are leaving state hospitals, facilities, or unsafe living situations. They qualify for housing and case management, but the real work happens after the lease is signed.

Our team helps people:
• Find apartments
• Apply and get approved
• Sign leases
• Set up utilities
• Get furniture and household items
• And stay stable once they move in

We also stay connected after move-in with regular visits, check-ins, and crisis support so people do not fall back into homelessness or hospitalization.

Volunteers make this work human.

They show up when the boxes arrive.
They help organize homes.
They make beds.
They create space for someone to breathe.

Right now, we have clients who need help with:
🛋 Apartment move-ins
🧺 Sorting and organizing clothing
📦 Donation drop-offs

We would love to have you on our Move-In Team.

Comment “VOLUNTEER” or message us to get started.
