Burned Beauty

04/15/2026

If you're new here, welcome! I'm Karli. I'm a proud mom, best friend, & eldest daughter. Twenty years ago, I survived some pretty awful things. Fortunately, with lots of love, care, therapy, and support, I've been able to heal from those things and show the world there's a beautiful life after trauma, drama, & scars. I've tried to use my story to inspire and encourage others, so I'm glad you found your way here. 💗

16 years ago today, I was featured on an episode of I Survived. Since then, I have received countless messages from strangers from around the world encouraging me to keep going. They are always kind and positive, and I respond to every single one.

I, too, have been curious about the outcome of my favorite reality TV underdogs, but I've never taken the time to search for them or write them. I am thankful for the reminder during this challenging season that I can, in fact, do hard things. And that what I've overcome has been documented for others to know they can overcome it, too. 🙏🏾

This was a special evening. I was honored to be one of the 100 Black mompreneurs recognized at 100 Shades of Mompreneur Event at the historic DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center. It felt wonderful to be in the coming of so many amazing moms. 💚👑

As a mompreneur, it feels wonderful to be seen and celebrated for balancing motherhood, business, and a deep commitment to uplifting my community. The hustle is real, but so is the power we hold as we create generational wealth and pave the way for future generations of Hustle Mommies.
