On longer distance trips I try to bring as much fresh veggies and fruit as possible. This is however one of my fav processed sauces that goes w anything. A little spicy too! Plenty for 2-3 people I like it w zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower and if I can fit it, chick peas. Some naan and wow is this great.

I know many really love the dehydrated meals, and things like power bars, but I find over time, if I’m out a lot, my body doesn’t respond as well So it’s a toss up. Fresh meals might weigh a little more but if you are in an area that you have to carry water well, that’s of course super heavy

And don’t forget many things go well over a week. Citrus, apples, avocados, tomatoes and many regular vegetable last a long time. Now bananas are something I see a lot of people bring. But after a day or two are pretty rotten. So bring what you like and plan accordingly
