Introducing Unsplash for Brands 12/11/2019

If you've worked with us, you know about our love for Unsplash, the free stock image repository. What you may not have known is how nervous we've always been about why all this amazing photography was FREE. How could they make money? Would they disappear one day?

Thankfully, this is their new model for business. It's smart and creative and passes along no cost to end users like us and our clients. Feel free to share this with any businesses you know with packaged good products they'd like to feature in stock photography - it's pretty amazing to see what that Chromebook image did in 2019!

Do you really, REALLY want a review for your product? A testimonial for your web site? A client to serve as a reference? Here's one approach!

Congratulations to Juliet C Bond and our client Carrie M. Goldman on the launch of their third book. We've been grateful for the chance to learn so much about adoption from these clients and our other client, RG Adoption Consulting. This new chapter book for children delves into the complex relationship among separated siblings in reunion at Camp to Belong, as well as the unique challenges that adoptees face as they navigate the world. We're proud to know these writers and educators - and this book would make a great gift for the young person in your life!

Juliet C Bond and I are so thrilled that the third book in our fictional adoption series for kids, Jazzy's Quest, is here! Jazzy Armstrong is a ten-year-old transracial adoptee in an open adoption who navigates the complexities of being adopted by a white family, along with all the typical challenges of being a tween. The first book in the series -- Jazzy's Quest: Adopted and Amazing -- is a chapter book designed to introduce Jazzy, her family, and her friends to our readers. The second book -- Jazzy's Quest: What Matters Most -- is twice the length of the first book and explores Jazzy’s social relationships at school and the struggle to fit in with peers. This new third book is a full middle-grade book and it delves into the complex relationship among separated siblings in reunion.

In JAZZY’S QUEST: CAMP TO BELONG, Jazzy and her birth brother, Carlos, attend a special weeklong camp specifically created for birth siblings separated by foster care and adoption. Based on a real camp called Camp To Belong that has sites across the United States, Jazzy, Carlos and their fellow campers find that spending a week with their siblings can be amazing and unexpectedly challenging. Jazzy learns new restorative ways to manage peer social conflict, discovers more about how living in foster care affects her new friends, and deepens her bond with Carlos.

Due to a private grant, copies of Jazzy's Quest: Camp To Belong have been shipped to eleven different locations for 700 actual campers at this summer attending Camp To Belong. It's wonderful for kids to see their unique experiences represented in a book that they can take home and treasure. We hope you bring Jazzy into your library! - Carrie and Juliet
