Unapologetically Maximalism. I tend to dial it back for client work but always aim to spark intrigue and help those find their own style.

You can find me in the middle of New Construction & Adaptive Reuse. A curated approach was taken when designing the model units at Lodge Evanston. Our previous kitchen served us very well. Daily use, raising kids and ever changing needs impacted every decision during the design process. As a maximalist, I need my curated clutter in full view but also need to tuck it away for a reset. Balancing open storage with traditional closed is highly nuanced an art in itself. The subtle LED lighting behind the shelves offer a soft illumination and highlight my revolving collections. Then came the small appliance dilemma. A large recessed cabinet was the best solution for hiding the vitamix, toaster, juicer, and daily coffee supplies. Lastly, I’m a messy cook so I opted for low maintenance granite on the hardworking perimeter and sprinkled in luxe finishes where they made more sense.
