Here’s a ✨cinematic✨ look back at our night with Jlin ( Jlin ) at The Land School!

We had so much fun collaborating with Jlin, who is a former steel factory worker, Pulitzer Prize nominee, and influential composer in the world of electronic music! Sharing the night with her in The Land School’s listening space was such an amazing, collective experience for our community! 🤎

The program included pieces by Jlin, Pamela Z, and original compositions from our ensemble members. We loved getting to improvise live with Jlin during the event, and had a blast transitioning from the concert into a full-blown party with our audiences — something which was a first for us!

We are so grateful to Jlin, the team at The Land School ( Rebuild ), and Pomegranate Arts for helping us host such a special night of music, community, and togetherness.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out across Chicago to celebrate 100 years of Miles Davis! 🎺🖤

We had the absolute best time honoring the music and legacy of Miles Davis — who remains one of the most influential bandleaders, musicians, and composers of our time. We were so happy to have Seth Pae ( Seth Allen ) put together such an incredible program for a monumental occasion!

We are so grateful to Rebuild , BandWith Chicago , and Chicago Public Library for helping bring this tribute to our community! Honoring the history of Black artists and composers is a core part of our mission, and we love doing it with others!

We recently had the privilege of performing at The Obama Presidential Center ( ) 💙✨

Fun fact: We are the first group to have performed in the space ever in front of an official audience!

The opening of the OPC is an incredibly historic moment! The Center will provide exciting programming, educational events, and dynamic exhibits highlighting the Obamas’ legacy while advocating for change in our communities. The cultural roots of the South Side of Chicago run deep — and we are so excited to see this history find a new home.

It was such a delight getting to share our music with the community! We enjoyed highlighting some of the incredible arrangements and compositions from our ensemble members Khelsey, Caitlin, Seth, and Malik. It was truly amazing!

Thank you again to the team at the Obama Presidential Center! It was truly such an honor performing for such a responsive audience. Opportunities like these are exactly why we do the work we do.

Don’t miss the official opening of the Obama Presidential Center on June 19! And, don’t forget to stay up to date on all of our upcoming events via our link in bio. 🔗

Still processing the energy from our recent solo debut at Symphony Center! 🖤✨

Bringing Michael Abels’ ( ) piece ‘Delights & Dances’ to the stage was such a highlight — so, a huge thank you to Michael for trusting us with his wonderful music!

It was also so much fun working alongside the Civic Orchestra of Chicago ( ) and the incredible Maestro Carlos Miguel Prieto ( ). Sharing this moment with such talented artists made this collaboration even more special!

We are so, so incredibly proud of Caitlin, Khelsey, Wilfred, and Lindsey for embracing this moment and partnership. It marks a huge milestone for us, and is just the work we hope to continue doing. Bravo on a truly amazing debut! 🎻

We recently gathered at The Land School for a truly special evening of calming music and healing practices with the Silkroad Ensemble ( ) 🪕

In collaboration with Rebuild Foundation and The Harris Theater, we were so honored to host this space for personal reflection, collective rest, and restoration. Having our own home at The Land School gives us the freedom to create these kinds of intentional environments where we can slow down and just be.🖤

It was truly an amazing experience working alongside partners who value collaboration as much as we do. We are excited to bring more innovative and exciting programming to The Land School!

Stay tuned for more highlights and behind-the-scenes looks from our time at The Land School! In the meantime, you can learn more about our upcoming performances at the link in our bio. 🔗
