Our student-run, digestible newsletter talks about tech, its ethics, and how it affects you - no engineering major required. Join us on Monday for the first fireside of the year with Vaish Yeruva, a senior AI consultant at Deloitte and a contract data scientist at Meta! Vaish is a Northwestern alum who is an expert in ML, DL, LLMs, RL, and GenAI. This is a great opportunity to learn about consulting in the AI space or working in big tech and consulting firms. Vaish will be fielding questions, so come prepared with topics you’d like to learn more about! Vaish will be calling in on Zoom, but be sure to attend our event in Kresge - we will be catering for RSVPers.

Avery Keare, RAISO’s outgoing Education Committee Chair, was recognized this week for advancing tech ethics at Northwestern. Within RAISO, she led discussions on pressing ethical issues that garnered a large student audience every week. She also built a team of ethics mentors and fellows, and developed a resource hub for ethics pedagogy that has transformed how ethics is taught in Northwestern CS for generations of students to come.

Avery embodies RAISO’s mission of advancing responsible use of technology and expanding ethics education. Congratulations Avery on your well-deserved awards!
