Felicia sat in my chair and said,

“I want to be a brunette. I need that richness and luster. I want that fullness. And I’m sick of leaving the salon with the same blonde hair year after year.”

I said, “Hold my coffee, bebe. I got you.”

Also found out that she lives 2.5 hrs outside of CHI so she’ll be able to come to either location to see me, depending on where she’s at - HOW COOL IS THAT 🤸🏻‍♀️

The goal is never just to teach avery deorta| az hairstylist how to cut hair. It’s also to make sure she’s never just a one-trick pony.

I’m realizing that teaching someone who’s new to the industry is really a combination of technique and perspective.

Technique teaches you how to do something. Perspective teaches you why, when, and where to use it.

Between JAY WESLEY OLSON teaching her color and me teaching her cutting and styling, i’m excited to watch her grown into someone who can think for herself, adapt to the client in front of her, and develop a style that’s uniquely her own.
