πŸ’™ Student/Academy dancer's you know what time it is! Time for DCE'S LAST RECITAL OF 2026!

😲 Help us end it with smiles, laughs, ooo's and ahhh's!

- Recital is held at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts at 9501 Skokie Blvd.
- Dancers must arrive at the BACKSTAGE DOOR by 6:00pm.
- All Dancers remain backstage when they are not performing. dancers are not dismissed until the entire show has finished. They will go to the lobby as a group and meet family members in a specific section of the lobby after the show.
- Most dancers will be in the Rice Room, a large rehearsal room. There will be a TV with a direct feed that will allow waiting dancers to watch the onstage performance, as well as some art supplies, puzzles, and other activities. Older dancers will be in the other large dressing rooms during shows.
- ALL dancers must check in at the Rice Room before proceeding to their dressing rooms. (The Rice Room and dressing rooms are monitored and supported by DCE staff throughout the shows.
- No food or drink is permitted in the dressing rooms or Rice Room. Water bottles are permitted but must close securely to prevent spills.

🍌Pre-Ballet 2, Ballet 1, Intro Modern, Modern 1, Intro Tap/Hip-Hop, Primary 3, Boys Dance classes. It's your turn to show all your hard work on stage!

πŸ‘‹ GROWN-UPS
- Dancers arrive at the MAIN LOBBY ENTRANCE by 2:00pm for the 2:30pm show.
- Dancers will leave their street shoes and outerwear with their grown-up before heading to the "Drop Off Dancer's Here" section in the lobby.
- Dancers should be completely ready to dance with their dance shoes on (or barefeet for modern).
- DCE helpers and teachers will es**rt dancers to stage while the audience members find their seat.
- All Dancers remain onstage when they are note dancing. Dancers are not dismissed until the entire show has finsihed.
- No parents/family members are allowed backstage during the performance.
- DCE teachers, staff, and student helpers will be on hand to assist Upper Primary dancers if they need to use the bathroom, change costumes, etc.
- As with rehearsals, if a dancer is performing multiple dances, they'll arrive wearing their first costume and will bring their additional costume(s) and shoes in a clear ziploc bag labeled with their name to place backstage.

πŸ’— Early Primary Dancers, it's almost time to join your friends on stage!

πŸ‘£ Tippy Toes 1, Tippy Toes 2, and Pre-Ballet 1 dancers, we are so excited to get you on stage. Teachers will be onstage guiding dancers through this joyful, low-pressure experience with all the extras (lights, sounds, costumes) that make performing on a professional stage so exciting!

πŸ‘‹ GROWN-UPS
- North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie at 9501 Skokie Blvd.
- Doors open at 10:30am (We recommend coming at least 20 minutes before the start of the performance.)
- Enter through the FRONT MAIN LOBBY DOORS, tickets will be checked.
- Get checked in, use the restroom, and find your seats.
- Once checked in, please bring your dancer completely dressed and ready to dance quietly into the main theater.
- The performance will begin with an explanation of how everything works, then the dancers will be called to the stage (accompanied by one adult)
- All dancers remain ONSTAGE with their teachers and helps for the full performance.
- The lobby will be open after the performance for taking pictures, seeing teachers, and congratulating dancers on their BIG accomplishment.

πŸ“Œ Reminder: Shelby, Vicki, Julie Ch., and Eduardo's Wednesday Ballet Academy production has Warm-Up and Dress Rehearsal at NORTH SHORE CENTER 4:00-5:50pm.

✨ DCE's Saturday Evening Student/Academy Recital 2026
6:30pm | North Shore Center for the Performing Arts at 9501 Skokie Blvd.

πŸ’ƒ DANCERS must arrive at the BACKSTAGE DOOR by 6:00pm. To find this entrance, go to the back parking lot on the east side of the building, and go all the way into the parking lot. The backstage door is at the top of the ramp next to the loading dock. Look for the DCE sign marking the entrance. Dancer will check in with a DCE staff member inside and follow the multiple direction signs backstage to get to the dressing rooms. NO family/audienc e member are permitted backstage; they will enter through the main lobby doors.
All dancers remain backstage when they are not performing. Dancers are not dismissed unthe the entire show has finished. They will go to the lobby as a group and meet family members in a specific section of the lobby after the show.
No food or drink is permitted in the dressing rooms or Rice Room. Water bottles are permitted but must close securely to prevent spills.

😍 AUDIENCE members will need to show the ticket digitally to enter the theater lobby. Please have the TIcketmaster app downloaded on your phone and/or tickets added to your phone's digital waller prior to arrival. NO BALLOONS, WATER BOTTLES, OR FOOD are allowed to be brought into the theater. If you have food or beverage for your dancers, you will need to drop off at the stage door.

😲 Recital is right around the corner! Only ☝️ day away!

πŸ•Ί We have a FULL day of dress rehearsals and can't wait to get started! Each class has a MANDATORY dress rehearsal with their teacher and classmates ahead of their performance. If a dancer does not attend the mandatory dress rehearsal, they will NOT be able to participate in the performance.

πŸ’› UPPER PRIMARY STUDENTS
Dancers must arrive at DANCE CENTER EVANSTON in costume at least 15 minutes before the start time of their rehearsal slot in costume, hair, astyled and ready to go.
Only ONE adult per dancer may observe the dress rehearsal from the audience seating in Studio5.
If a dancer is rehearsing multiple dances, please arrive wearing the FIRST costume listed for that rehearsal block. There will be 'quick change' rooms backstage for dancers needing to change costumes, assisted by DCE staff. Please bring your second (and third) costumes and dance shoes in a CLEAR ZIPLOCK BAG LABLED WITH YOUR DANCER'S NAME to place backstage, practicing for how it will go on the day of the show.

Reminder, you are expected to arrive in costume at least 20 minutes before the start time of your rehearsal slot. Dancers should arrive in costume, hair styled, warmed up and checked in.
Rehearsal slots may or may not run in order, so dancer should pan to stay for the full block of time listed. Each rehearsal block is typically, 45, 60, or 75 minutes.

🐬 We are head over heels and jumping with joy because recital is only ✌ days away!

πŸ‘‡ Today, Thursday, May 28 we WILL be holding the last set of classes at DCE. Dress Rehearsals will still be held at DCE through friday. Today is a great day to pack your bags, double check your schedules, lay out your costumes and ask us any questions you have. Let's cover some last minute things before our transition to North Shore Center on SATURDAY.

⚠ Audience Entry and Safety.
Regardless of how the ticket was purchased, you will need to show the ticket digitally to enter the theater lobby. Please have the Ticketmaster app downloaded on your phone and/or the tickets added to your phone's digital wallet prior to arrival. Your phone will be scanned upon entry.

🎭 North Shore Center provides guests, performers, and employees with enhanced safety procedures including the screening of all guests and their carry-in bags or purses for any prohibited item.s They ask all guests to arrive early and travel light. Each guest must havea ticket to gain entrance of the venue.

πŸ“Œ Students who dance in more than one class wshould come dressed in their first costume with their other costume pieces and dress code items in. clear bag marked with their name.
πŸ“Œ Hair for all dancers should be styled neatly off the face and neck so that it is secure and stays in place while dancing.
πŸ“Œ No glitter, no watches/jewelry, and no nail polish are allowed onstage during dress rehearsals or performances.

🚨 These dress rehearsals are MANDATORY. If a dancer is not on stage for their dress rehearsal, they will not be able to participate in the performance of that piece. Check out Tuesdays full recital schedule and classes still held.
