The PEDAL Project has been operating unofficially for 3 years as founder Rachel Tollett sourced pianos from estate sales and notices of free instruments turned into pianos for her students, classroom, and rehearsal spaces across Chicago and Suburban Cook County. If you are a teacher or parent who knows your student would benefit from an acoustic instrument please reach out to us at [email protected]
The Pedal Project is pleased to announce that we have received our first grant! Many thanks to IEA SCORE GRANT! Can't wait to post pictures of our next batch of pianos! https://www.facebook.com/ieanea

The PEDAL Project works to place rehabilitated acoustic pianos into the hands of students, community centers, schools, and college practice rooms in order to promote music education and remove barriers for musicians who can not personally afford a quality acoustic instrument.
