We recently received some new craft kits in the shop and I thought I'd share them with you, in case you're looking for something creative to do with your time!

We carry all of the supplies and we just restocked a whole bunch of 3D needle felting kits from Hawthorn Handmade.

We also have needle felting kits from Felted Sky. The painting with wool kits are felted flat, and their 3D kits are great too.

If you are interested in embroidery, we just got these brand new Mini Folk Embroidery kits from Hawthorn Handmade that are ideal for beginners.

The Felt Bookmark Craft kits are also brand new from Hawthorn Handmade. These kits combine applique and embroidery to create a beautiful bookmark.

If you are wanting to learn how to crochet, we have the adorable Woobles kits.

Finally, we also have the new Amitami crochet kits. The designs are really cute!

It’s a gorgeous day to knit in public. Come join us! We have tea and brownies, door prizes and a pop up shop with Hot Thommolly Handmade!

Cotton Lux is a lightweight, cotton yarn that self-stripes AND has a little bit of sparkle. The colors are fantastic! With a sport weight gauge and plenty of yardage, this yarn is super versatile. I couldn't resist it when I saw it and I think you're going to love it too.

For Crocheters the Granite Yoke tee is simple and sweet, which is perfect for Cotton Lux. The yarn will make this top something special.

Also, the Lisanne Shawl would be really nice in this yarn. The pattern is simple enough that it will let the yarn shine!

We have a brand new yarn in the store that we're excited to share with you, and a few project ideas for knitters!

The Rock It Tee from Tanis Lavalee is a simple v-neck tee that would be perfect for Cotton Lux. The pattern calls for using 3 different yarns but you could just use a single strand of Cotton Lux and let it do its stripey magic.

The Love Your Sweater (LYS) top from our friend Becca Anderson is another top that would be lovely in Cotton Lux. Again, the pattern calls for using a second yarn in the yoke but I would just skip that and use Cotton Lux for the entire project. This top is so fun to make that I've knit it twice!

Laines du Nord created a shawl pattern for this yarn. We have a sample shawl in the store. If you are local, you can check it out the next time you come in. It's a pretty shawl with an interesting shape. The design is pretty simple, which shows off the yarn nicely. The pattern is available for free on the Laines du Nord website.
