Does working on your novel ever feel like you’re a cartoon character who’s stepping on what seems like a harmless pile of leaves–but is actually the entrance to a very deep and convoluted trench of endless dark tunnels? Then Plot Your Novel in a Weekend is here to help you write your way out! In this two-day workshop, Wordcrafters’ own Daryll Lynne Evans will guide you through creating a blueprint for your novel that takes your story from a tangle of surprise tunnels to a workable, actually finishable draft.

Some of the greatest artworks are born out of places of instability. Whether it’s war, systemic discrimination, or technological advancements, instability reflects a period of constant change and upheaval. The 20th century in American history embodies just such a period, inspiring accomplished artists such as Thomas Hart Benton, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and many more. In Exploring Ekphrasis: 20th Century American Artists, you’ll get to know many of these artists and the historical forces that shaped their artworks while creating your own art in the form of ekphrastic poetry.
Dates: 12 Tuesdays, 09/08/26-12/01/26 (No class on 11/24/26)
Times: 6-7:30 pm
Location: Online in the Wordcrafters Zoom Room
