The MA in Linguistics in Language Teaching Studies (LTS) expands upon the more typical TESOL focus of many post-graduate programs to provide a strong theoretical and practical professional foundation for all future leaders in language teaching. Graduates of our MA program include EFL and ESL teachers as well as teachers of other second, foreign, or indigenous languages, such as JFL/JSL (Japanese), CFL/CSL (Chinese), SFL/SSL (Spanish), several Native American languages of the Northwest, and others. We had a wonderful potluck gathering this weekend for 2026 LTS students to celebrate their year in the program. Delicious food and fun company. Our last day - the final LTS Symposium - is tomorrow July 31 in 175 McKenzie Hall, 1pm-4:30pm.

Due to the heat, the UO graduate student commencement was delayed and moved to another location, but some of the LTS students and faculty managed to get a quick picture on the way. Although LTS still has a short summer term left to finish, they were able to celebrate with the other MA and PhD students graduating this year. Congratulations cohort and see you in Summer!
