We loved this issue’s community hero on The Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House!
Castle on the Hill Unbeknownst to some, Eugene is home to a castle. It is not a fortress with a king or queen present, and there is no moat or drawbridge. But this sleepy stronghold has stood on the edge of the Skinner’s Butte area for more than a hundred years, and its stewards continue to serve the community […]

Scenes from the opening day of the Springfield Farmers Market on Sunday, and it could not have been more beautiful. We’re so excited to see the continued growth and expansion of Lane County Farmers Market and the incredible community that surrounds it.
Supporting local farmers, organic agriculture, and the people who make Lane County thrive is something truly worth celebrating.

Call it research. Call it a spiritual journey. We’re still reeling from a weekend in Dundee wine country. We checked into The Setting Inn Willamette Valley, sipped our way through Domaine Roy & Fils and Penner-Ash (those views!), lingered over lunch at Trellis, fueled up at Red Hills Market, tossed in one forgettable dinner at JORY at the Allison Inn, and finished where all great wine pilgrimages should end: Domaine Serene. The Boss Hog. Epic from start to finish. We’ll be back before the dust settles.
